FlashHarry: you mean too smart for an american audience?
sigdiamond2000: What am I supposed to do with this information?
choo: [choosepp.net image 636x130]Did someone just say "Free Bacon?" 'cause I thought I heard someone say "Free Bacon!"
I_C_Weener: I like Al Jazeera. There. I said it. It was the best coverage of the Nairobi Mall situation. It provides news...and goes light on the opinion. Its almost like...the opposite of CNN, MSNBC, and FOX.
Blues_X: And I think they recognize that, yes, some opinions are dumb.
netizencain: Government owned news? Ya, I'd trust that.
cambie: Anyway, I think the major thing keeping me from watching Al Jazeera more is that it's not in HD.
Marcus Aurelius: I prefer to get all my news from a large media conglomerates whose ad revenues depend on multinational corporations. They're the only one you can trust to give you the straight dope.
Eddie Adams from Torrance: I just don't see the point of AJAM.If I want unbiased hard hitting journalism, I can always turn to CNN.
Lucky LaRue: Nobody wants to watch news that doesn't have lots of flashy graphics and ominous music.
kroonermanblack: Lucky LaRue: Nobody wants to watch news that doesn't have lots of flashy graphics and ominous music. It's going to start light on opinion, heavy on actual news, and evolve into the same demagoguery as every other news station once it gets established. It's what they do and how they make money. But instead of 'red' or 'blue' this one is going after 'mooslim' or similar specific ethnics/religious targeting.
Mrbogey: Marcus Aurelius: I prefer to get all my news from a large media conglomerates whose ad revenues depend on multinational corporations. They're the only one you can trust to give you the straight dope.Right. Few trust a network that only a decade ago was actively aiding Osama bin Laden and is currently funded by oil money from Arab states.
FlashHarry: netizencain: Government owned news? Ya, I'd trust that.[newsimg.bbc.co.uk image 464x261]you were saying?
