i used to tell my kids "you are responsible for your friends"
if a window is broken by them you pay.
if you hang with murderers you are just as guilty.

imprisoned for life seems pretty harsh just for being with someone who committed murder.  if this is just a robbery gone wrong,  hiccup girl got a pretty bad sentence.

but i've never understood the justice system.  drunk driver who hits a telephone poll gets a slap on the wrist but a drunk driver who hits a person gets life.   they have committed the same crime of drunk driving.

and in this case,  the hiccup girl who didn't kill anyone or even have the premeditated plan to kill someone will spend the rest of her life in jail because someone she was with someone who committed murder.   where someone who tried attempted murder but failed will spend considerably less time behind bars because they didn't kill anyone even though it was their intent.

It's okay. Understanding the courts and laws and stuff isn't for everyone.

Can I have a new trial?  I don't like this one.  They're saying I'm guilty.

Mebbe she and her accomplices should only get robbery time since they didn't intend to kill him?

In crime, much like coaching, it's all about the results.

or you could charge the guy with murder who actually murdered someone.    i'm all for sending this women to prison but under the charge of robbery and being with the person who committed murder.  but unless you can prove that she had planned to murder the victim and was not just a bystander and witness to her accomplices actions,  then a life sentence does not seem fair.   5 to 15 years seems much more appropriate.

They DID prove that she wasn't just a bystander and witness. That's where the sentence came from.

No sympathy for her.

Female Version of a Hustla

Jennifer Mee's Internet presence shows a much different person than the shy, hiccuping teenager who appeared on the Today Show back in 2007. In her tough-talking, heavily misspelled MySpace page, Mee represents herself as a take-no-prisoners thug with hard life experience and loads of street cred:

name is jennifer, im almost 19 but dont let the age fool you, the struggles ive been through has made me grown up so much. Im always havin fun chillin or vibbin to some gucci:) im a down ass chick and all the others will never compare so dont try me like im the next hoe. Ive lived in florida for a while now but my heart is still in vermont? im trying to better myself and just move on in life. Im single& not lookin but if a real n*gga comes along then im here:) hit me up if you need to kno anymore
