You put Shia LeBoeuf in a movie. Your opinion is irrelevant.

FTFA: "I happen to not watch the series very much, but I happened to tune in and I saw the most ridiculous 15 minutes of a movie..."

[dumbass] tag works pretty well too.

Confabulat: SundaesChild: Natural Born Killers was awesome.  Long Live Mickey and Mallory.

Yes it was. Pre-internet I used to have to foam at the mouth at people in person when they disagreed.

Brilliant soundtrack too, and Robert Downey Jr was in full Geraldo mode who looks exactly like Tony Stark, ha.

It was the first thing I saw Woody Harrelson in that I realized that the man can act, too.  Before that I always blew him off as just "that one guy on Cheers."

blacksharpiemarker: To be fair, Stone has a point. It was a little over the top, but having not watched the series throughout, he probably missed the "magical" aspects of the story. It was referenced throughout the series that Walter was one lucky and clever son of a biatch regardless of the circumstances he found himself in.

Had it been anyone else, it wouldn't have worked out. Since it was Walter with such an absurd and perfect scheme, everything more or less fell into place. Yes, they could have been a little bit more cruel in designing Walter and Jesses fate, but we all know that people would have biatched to high hell had the series ended off on a darker note. Some artistic compromise was made, but always in favor of the viewer despite the fact.

Mr. White relied upon the Unspoken Plan Guarantee. Because Mr. White devised and enacted the plan on his own, the writers were able to implement it effectively without making obvious that the audience had been deprived of key information beforehand.

What would have been ridiculous would be Walt wielding it like Rambo.  The solution as shown worked.  It also showed him developing and testing the rig.  There's nothing in his solution that is beyond my mechanical or electrical ability so I give that an easy pass.

I absolutely loved Natural Born Killers in like 1995. I was also waking up and eating acid every day and pretty stupid.

I'm still stupid and I guess Natural Born Killers is still a pretty great flick, Rodney Dangerfield's best role.

When Quentin Tarantino gives you a screenplay, and you fark it up so bad, he demands his name to be removed from the credits, you suck as a director.

Glitchwerks: Dr Dreidel: Walt sneaking the Stevia to Lydia despite never putting his hands on the table?

He did it before they arrived.

Also, Hank was shot 4 times, not once.

Whatever - my point is, if you've suspended your disbelief about everything leading up to Trunk Gun, what's so special about some springs and gears - built by a guy who's done plenty of cleverer things and built more complex mechanical things before - that suddenly you can't go with Gilligan one one more ride?

More or less so than the nitroglycerin (or whatever) crystal from season 1, the shootout from season three (seriously? Two highly-trained assassins can only hit Hank once?), the Hector-bomb in 4 (no way Gus is the only one affected), and Walt sneaking the Stevia to Lydia despite never putting his hands on the table?

// and Saul still having a law license despite being pretty obviously involved in some shady shiat
// it's no more ridiculous than that tie you're wearing
// 'sides which - it's a pretty simple machine

IIRC, the cousins hit Hank four times, and he was shielded by his car, the seat, etc. The Hector-bomb killed Hector, Gus, and Tyrus. Walt was in the cafe before Lydia was, knew which table she always sat at from their weekly meetings, and took away the rest of the Stevia packets in the dispenser. As far as the crystal goes, I want to say that Mythbusters tested it in the BB episode and found that the amount he used was far too small to have that kind of effect.
