The second shot of him chasing the guy clear across the parking lot is priceless.

Someone needs to make a gif of that captioned NOPE NOPE NOPE.

I'd run too.

That dude is stone cold. He doesn't even flinch at the shot, and makes a relatively slow dramatic unsheathing of the machete, with which he is obviously very familar. I think he even slaps the machete on the counter for effect.....I have to imagine that 'attempted robbery' is like 200 items from the top on this dudes "Freaky shiat That Happened To Me" list. There's likely a stack of bodies in an El Salvadoran jungle with this dudes name on them.

I think it helps that the sheath/scabbard was covered with dangly things. Those dangly things seemed to confuse and frighten the thief more than the blade itself.

The robber didn't want to shoot anyone and gambled that the store owner wouldn't know that and lost.
The store owner gambled with his life that the robber didn't want to shoot anyone and won big time.

It's funny, because most of those are pearing knifes and scimitars.

Nine out of ten times this scenario would end badly.

Brentwood. Figures.

Yep. No need to get shot over what's in the register. He was lucky the guy didn't open fire as he came back up with it.

It's also not very effective if you have to untie them to get them out.

1. If he was just an employee, why risk dying for your boss's inventory/cash? Just hand it over and hold the door open for the guy to leave!

2. If he was the owner of the store, why not just have insurance? Beats risking your life for the contents of the register.

Whoever the guy was, he was dumber than a rock.
