He did lay down some pretty good smack talk before the game.  He grabbed the mic on the field and said "Welcome to the final game of the NLDS".

There were Braves fans at Dodgers Stadium? Why are there never any at Turner Field?

It could be any of the women Garvey knocked up in the early 80s back for revenge, which only narrows it down to half of southern California.

And how did they get out of there without a Dodgers fan capping their ass?

Back when 760AM covered the Padres, their morning show (Hudson & Bauer) started calling him "The Father of Baseball."

The 'father' jokes remind me of an oldie, but goodie...

Wade Boggs, Steve Garvey and Pete Rose are sitting in a bar when this beautiful, sexy woman walks by.
Wade Boggs says, "I slept with her."
Steve Garvey says, "Oh yeah? She's carrying my baby!"
Pete Rose says, "Wanna bet?"

The Dodgers were crazy to keep Steve. Fred Garvey was the real brains in that family.

No. You're thinking of Garvin. They're the guys who make the GPS.

They average over 32k a game, easily in the top 15.

In a crappy area with no rail service and nothing to do before or after the game. That's impressive in a city under 1 million.

Braves fans? Do Atlantans even know or care that the postseason is going on? And sorry, but Dodger fans can cry foul just as soon as their most moronic contingent stops handing out traumatic brain injuries to other teams' fans.

Fair assessment, but I will say that the atmosphere at Dodger Stadium is leaps and bounds better than it was during the McCourt years.

It helps when you have LAPD officers everywhere. Stadium security was almost non-existant when the Stowe thing happened. Aside from the two attackers, the blame for that incident is on McCourt.

They had no head of security at the time. Police presence was nill and it almost seemed like they condoned the rowdy behavior because butts were in the seats. Plus, who doesn't beef up security on opening day (night actually), especially when they were playing the Giants and said Giants were defending champs?

In all honesty, I wasn't allowed to take my kids to games until this year because of the nonsense at the stadium.

Broken windshields can be fixed, but the true crime here is that he made a small child sad..... somehow.

St. Louis laughs in your general direction.
