They had to go with the electric chair when their lethal injection display got held up by problems with the EU.

Perhaps someone in the family was juiced out.

YOU CAN'T TAKE FIVE FARKING MINUTES TO TALK TO YOUR KIDS!?!?!?!?

Midlothian. Sounds like some town in an H.P. Lovecraft book.

It is tasteless and extremely offensive.

And you are lazy and humorless.

Something tells me that this woman probably doesn't mind other methods of execution. Like someone being nailed to a cross or something.

Dollars to donuts her crotchfruit sees someone get killed on television every f*cking day.

I think it's funny that the one of the commenters is blaming this on THE DAMN LIBS.  LIBS GET UPSET!

Something tells me that a lady complaining about scary decorations in her "lovely community" is about as liberal as Aunt Bea.

Your state allows and performs capital punishment, the real thing is no problem though, amirite?

2013-10-08 02:41:33 PM
Yeah I'm sure not talking to your kids about parts of life that aren't all unicorns and rainbows is going to be a winning strategy in the long run.

Heamer: Dollars to donuts her crotchfruit sees someone get killed on television every f*cking day.

Hell, I'll bet one of their first words was "calladoody."

Shocking, I say.  Simply shocking.

I was thinking the same thing. She would even find a witch costume "extremely offensive", and is likely not satisfied if a day goes by without her being outraged about something. Keep pounding that bible, lady. (I know there is no indication of the gender of the person who raised a fuss, but all my money is on fanatical christian woman)

2013-10-08 02:43:57 PM
Just because you're offended doesn't mean it's offensive. Grow up and explain it's a Halloween decoration to your kids, cause the best way to "protect" them is to arm them with knowledge, as opposed to hiding their heads between your flabby arms and droopy breasts.

2013-10-08 02:44:30 PM
Oh where oh where o where do people get the notion that they have a right to go through life without being offended?

We don't do none o' that fancy educatin' of our children here in 'Merica. That's soshulust.

Yeah I thought complaining about Halloween was primarily a trait of the super right religious folks.  The 'Libs' only get in a twist over christmas decorations, and even then it's only when they are on public land.

I had a colleague who lived there; I always thought it was named after something in Lord of the Rings.

My boss warned me we had a client was that was Very religious.
I said, "You mean very spiritual or keeps her hair up in a tight bun and thinks s-e-x is filthy?"
The second one, he says.

What was that bit about "look at the pumpin over there" FTFA?

Kids don't just abandon a question because there is another object to be seen.  They've seen a pumpkin.  F*ck you.

I urge you to go f*ck yourself, sir or madam.

I'm pretty libby, but I'm guessing she wasn't conservative.

Now if it was something that could be interpreted as Satanic, then you'd have a point. But the evangelicals have a pretty high tolerance for vanilla violence. This has all the hallmarks of an entitled, liberal soccer mom.

"We go big or we go home," said property owner Leslie Reamer.

"It's all for fun," said Leslie. "Children are easily misdirected. If they go...what's that? Point at the pumpkin and say look at the pumpkin!"
"I buy the candy," said Leslie. "And I end up eating it. That's not right."

I love this woman

Could go either way.  Aunt Bea is more HOA/eyesore oriented.  Basically she's just ticked that someone asked her for directions to her neighborhood and said "you mean the place with the Halloween decorations?" and she was OUTRAGED.

Momma Libby doesn't want to have to explain executions to her kids because she thought that folk-rock song she wrote in a cabin back in '93 was going to abolish executions.

No, they had to go with the electric chair, because every Halloween we see articles where people complain that a hanging corpse is an offensive racist image.

To paraphrase Louie CK: They're your shiatty kids, you explain it.

Does it really farking matter? Have you become so utterly partisan that you can't simply condemn any uptight arsehole out to ruin everyone's fun without speculating as to that person's political allegiance?

It doesn't matter if the one complaining was a right wing bellend or a left wing bellend.

That's the thing.  It could go either way on this.  But for me the tipping point was her referring to her "lovely community".  That sounds like someone who is hellbent on putting forth a clean, positive, GOD FEARING AMERICAN MESSAGE.  It's hard to classify her.  A fascinating study.

The one picture on Wikipedia of it looks H.P. Lovecraft like too.
upload.wikimedia.org

Then you do a Google image search and see nothing but giant houses.

What that town is a giant rabbit.....
Midlothian is the inspiration for the fictional town of Middlesex, Virginia in the cult film "Donnie Darko". "It's meant to be a stylized, satirical, comic book, fantasyland version of what I remember Midlothian, Virginia to be, I guess," filmmaker Richard Kelly has explained.
