All right Oakland - nice job!

Peaceboy: MartinaMcSorley: Well, I guess the Dodgers don't want to go back to Atlanta.

Just saw that.  I hope Donnie Baseball has thought his cunning plan all the way through.  He's been managing panicky.  If they hit like they did last night, it'll be moot.

Yeah, wouldn't have been my move.  We're gonna need Kershaw at 100%.  Ryu was cringeworthy last night and may be cringeworthy next time as well.  I would take my chances with Nolasco and the bats tonight.

Of course, I am only an office worker because I turned down several major league managing offers before the season started, so take what I say for what it's worth.

JohnnyRebel88: What's a Balfour?  For ringing silly!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Mr. Balfour!  Your legs are sooooooooo swollen!

kilgorn: Dodgers pushing Kershaw up to tonight......I'm thinking backfire...

I don't like that move one biatchrist, have some faith in your pitching staff.  You win tonight Kershaw is ready to go in Game 1 of the NLCS.  It's not like the Cardinals or Pirates are going to have their ace ready on full rest regardless of what happens today.   If you lose tonight, he's at least fully rested for Game 5 of the LDS.   Hell, even if he wins, how's he pitch in the next game he plays?

I just think a pitcher's routine should never be farked with.

idesofmarch: You know, I've been trying to jinx Wacha for a while because I'm rooting for Pittsburgh, but I must admit a chance to see a perfect game happen in the playoffs is pretty sweet.

You just jinxed him, dude. Now please don't say a no-no would still be cool to see.

And if you don't push him up, you're forever blasted as saving a player for a start that will never happen. Like Carlos Zambrano being available for game 4 of the 2007 NLDS vs Arizona.

mark_bert: germ78: Cardinals elimination day is every bit as sweet as Penguins and Red Wings elimination day!

It must be hard to be a Cubs fan. To totally give up on any possibility of your own team winning, you can only get joy out of the thought of seeing a superior team lose.

Gotta stay interested in baseball somehow since the Yankees are being biatches about Joe Girardi.

/give it up NY, he's gone
//the Cubs have a better upside than the Yankees right now

I actually really don't believe in jinxes because I'm not a superstitious person, but now that the perfect game is off I want the Pirates to win.

How hard would it be for TBS to have a pitch count displayed like every other channel? TBS blows at baseball coverage.

What?  The Dodgers are up in the series 2-1.  If they lose tonight Kershaw would pitch Game 5 on full rest.

tenton:   Balfour likes to yell at clouds in the sky and Martinez thought he was a cloud.

If he's just yelling at clouds then why was he walking toward the batter? Also, he clearly said "The fark you laughing at, man?"

Goddamnit so much.  Let's hope I still get to use this Game-5-in-Oakland ticket that I have.

Isn't the pitch count in that box that shows location of all pitches in the at-bat?

Martinez gave him a long stare after fouling that pitch off. As Balfour walked towards to the catcher to get a new ball he took offense to the glare and said "What the fark are you looking at?"

I'd prefer it to be shown up at the top where the score is at all times. Not just the pitch location box. Not as user friendly.

Goddamn, Pirates Cards is ANOTHER farking day game? What the hell, MLB? Have they had a single prime time game at all? I've been able to watch like 12 innings of the 27 that they've played so far, which does not make me a very happy person.

Jesus Christ, Rosenthal started out throwing 97 MPH and now he's up to 99 MPH, according to Gameday. Also, what's the "NF" column next to his pitches?
