It looks as if I turned on the game at the right time. I was hoping for the A's to win only because I am a Red Sox fan...  The Tigers scare me with their pitching.  This is a good match-up.

Does anyone in here put cash on the games?  If so, what was the ML on this game through a bookie?

I think Por-chello started warming up last inning.

I hate day games. I'm over this whole series, and I wish Detroit would just put it to bed today and tomorrow.

Jerk.

/I'm really happy for you
//also, since you're probably not listening to the tv broadcast, one of the announcers keeps mispronouncing Porcello and it's really starting to bother me

Super Chronic: Freddy Garcia starting an elimination game.

Dodgers, if you don't finish them off, well, you don't deserve to go on.

I don't agree with this. Dodgers need to win one out of the next two. They've proven they can beat ATL in their barn. They'll deserve to be in the next round even if this goes 5 and they still get through.

Much as it pains me to miss opening night for my beloved LA Kings, I got a ticket to the Dodger game today and feel compelled to attend. LA residents problems.

Go Dodgers!

You might. It was at least as clean as the dugout floor.

germ78: Cardinals elimination day is every bit as sweet as Penguins and Red Wings elimination day!

It must be hard to be a Cubs fan. To totally give up on any possibility of your own team winning, you can only get joy out of the thought of seeing a superior team lose.

Also goes for Mets fans.  I'd add in Marlins fans, but I don't think either of them cares enough.

At least the guy says Alvarez right, though how could you not? I wonder if he's ever even watched a Tiger's game where Verlander or Scherzer wasn't pitching.

I take that back, he managed to say Alvarez wrong, too. I'm starting to think the guy has never seen a Tiger's game, period. Since I started watching in the 5th he hasn't said a word about any Tiger that wasn't straight up numbers off a sheet. When the A's are at bat he talks about nothing but the batters, and when the Tigers are at bat he talks about the A's pitching, fielding, history, and other announcers.

He's been saying "Por-chello" for the entire game and nobody has corrected him.  It's awful.
