In Japanese children shows its normal to see people being killed.

And, just like in the United States, OMG A NIPPLE EVERYONE FREAK THE fark OUT

Yahoo's a good website for checking the news, movie times, etc.  It's not very good at web searches though.

Bing is at least good for spamming for 5 minutes a day to earn points which I turn into Amazon gift cards (you can also redeem for Skype points, Microsoft Points, etc.)

About $10-15 a month.

When they discontinue that offer, I'm going back to Google.  Bing isn't very good.

Yandex, a search engine, is Russia's most popular site;

Heh.  "Ya" (the backwards "R" in Cyrillic) is the Russian word for I, as in me.  So "Yandex" is "Index".  Neat.

I'm going to guess that it's tumblr, just because that's the place to go for all your ridiculously specific gross-out porn needs. Like "penisrapebytentaclesthatarepregnant.tumblr.com" is probably a real thing.

Slightly correct, yet very very wrong.

Not surprised that Nigeria has a pretty big internet population amongst its African peers.

Somewhat surprised that their most popular website isn't, say, Western Union.

It is clear now.

The Google Empire is nothing but the covert continuation of the British Empire.

Call Lyndon H. Larouche, Jr.! The World must be warned!

Boy, that cartogram is weird. The Red Dragon has turned into a big fat bird, the Russian Bear has turned into a Dragon, Canada has turned into a Salamander, and only South America has kept anything like it's proper size and shape.

When my parents lived in Japan about 10 years ago, Yahoo was their internet provider and portal.

They did everything with Yahoo

Their explanation when they got home, was everyone used Yahoo.    I guess it is still true

Can confirm.  Live here.   Looking around the office right now, I see at least four computers open to Yahoo news/weather/search.

Have never seen anyone in Korea using baidu... the article does acknowledge this, but provides no explanation for it apart from "researchers doubt whether data from those countries is accurate." that's some good science work, there, Lou.

/naver is both extremely popular and much much worse than yahoo.
