Not nearly enough. I wouldn't start to blink until the line hit 40

And the Jags have lost both starting tackles.

Broncos 63, Jags 3. Book it, done.

What Jacksonville needs is a WINNER on the team, quite possibly someone motivated and with an axe to grind against the Donkos.

If only someone like that were available..

Jacksonville got 11 points against St. Louis.  And the Rams covered that shiat.

Then again, Denver's defense is bad.  I was making excuses for them earlier (if the offense scores so much it stands to reason that the defense will give up a little) but not after yesterday's game.  Something like 49-23 would not be a shocking final score (if it's Denver with 49).

At this point, why the hell not, it's week 6 sign him to a 1 year deal at league minimum.

Remember how Denver stopped trying vs. Oakland?
It will be the same thing here.

A lot of people are gonna lose money when Denver switches to the third stringers in the 4th.

This isn't *that* big

Alabama was -55 against Georgia State this past weekend.

Winning only 45-3, they did not cover.

The moneyline on the game had $1 bet on Georgia State paying out over 3 thousand dollars.

I think you transposed "third" and "4th" there.

If this was a college game, the line would be in the mid-40's range, because you need to decimate your opponent in college, beat them down like Ike beat Tina, and enjoy the lamentations of their women.

The more carnage, the more votes!

But in the NFL, once the win is in the bag, then the game turns into "Pray no one gets hurt" and "Give the waterboy a few snaps".

28 will be hard to cover because the real game will be over before halftime. Final score? 35-10.

I'm not touching this game with a ten foot pole, because something 'strange' WILL happen, and all the people who have money on the game will have a sick feeling in their stomach...

Betting lines are supposed to be much smaller in the NFL than in college, because of the much smaller talent disparity.  However, even in college football, a 28 point line would still be big for most games.  28 points is larger than any other NFL game in quite a while.

At some point, Gus Bradley is going to realize that the only way the Jags will get any recognition this year is if they derail someone's playoffs hopes.  He's going to get to the point where he just calls full blitzes every play in an effort to injure someone.

Gabberts out, Blackmon is back and the Broncos will have the 3rd string in by the forth.  Jags getting probably 20 points, all in the 4th

There are no trap games in the NFL.

Jacksonville Tebows: -3

unless you've already used the Broncos.  The Jags are the gift that just keeps giving for suicide pools.  Just take whoever plays the Jags that week and you are golden.  Until they start playing divisional opponents for the second time.

So... How does an American go about finding a place to place bets on games? It's not like I can google "bookie near northwest indiana". Are there websites that sports gambling is legal on? Do I just have to hang out at seedy locations and find a guy who knows a guy?

(I'm not just asking because of this game, but there have been a few games that I would've liked to put a few dollars on, and this thread seems to have a few gamblers in it.)

2013-10-07 11:20:53 AM
The Denver D did just give up 48 points to the Cowboys.  Granted, the Cowboys offense is a lot better than Jacksonville's.  Still, 48 is a lot of points.

I think Denver will build a big lead, then stop trying.  Jacksonville may get a couple meaningless touchdowns in the fourth to cover, while still having no chance to win the game.

skrame: Are there websites that sports gambling is legal on?

You might be able to get away with using a foreign bank account (Canadian) linked to the website. Of course, it may not be as simple as that because most foreign countries have relationships with the US that require the country to enforce US laws on accounts linked to US citizens. So maybe you need to know a Canadian that's willing to launder money through their account for you. Which may or may not be legal

Or move to vegas

I think this game will be the Jags only win of the year and the Broncos only loss.

You're like 15 miles away from Gary, IN, and you're acting like you can't find a bookie?

Go to a dive bar in Chicago. Better, Calumet City. Ask how you can get in on some action.

I use Bovada.  A lot of the guys I listen too on ESPN Chicago Radio do as well which is where I first heard about it.
Was able to fund it a couple of times but last time I tried my credit union called me thinking someone was stealing my money. While I appreciate it the jerks also blocked me from funding it with my debit card.

Getting these things funded can be the hardest part  as just like they did with all the poker sites, CC companies block the charges. Haven't tried a PP Visa or anything for this site yet.

About the same chance as Boehner switching to the Democratic Party and entering AA in the next 48 hours.

Yesterday was perfect for us Bronco fans: Not just the most entertaining game in decades, but if the Broncos can get a scare in them that's perfect. It seeemed Welker's TD halfway through the 3rd was the clinching score, but Dallas and Romo showed what happens when you buy into your own hype.  Anything to keep the team humble and focused is most welcome. Anything else and I doubt Denver is holding the Lombardi trophy in February.

Champ and Von Moron are also coming back soon (Miller after the Jags game, Champ maybe this week last I heard). With that the Broncos' pass rush will significantly improve.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

It might work.  Its not like they need to bring Tebow up to speed on a game plan.  1) They don't have one.  2) He can't follow one anyway.

If Peyton Manning plays 1 more play after they take a 24 point lead, woe be to the Broncos when Manning trips over his own 2 feet tearing an ACL or something.

Bovada has been around forever.  Only problem is it takes forever to get your winnings.  Like 60-90 days.

Denver has no defense, and the Jags showed flashes of having some semblance of an offense now that Blackmon is back.

Teaser the line against the jags 8 points to -20, take the over so if it's 52, it'll end up being over 44.  So basically you need to hit on the OVER of 44, and DENVER - 20.  Mortgage your house, sell your wife...and bet the farm.

They lost their left guard so their QB is going to get sacked a lot...
However they also lost Gabbert so its still a net positive
