Huh, I learned something new today.  Ovine is apparently to sheep what bovine is to cattle.

Unimpressed.

It's still a pretty common practice in some parts of the U.S. You know, in those places where men are men, and there are sheep. And the cowboys are from South America.

I thought the saying was "...where men are mean, and sheep are nervous"

Wonder how many fark threads we'd get if one of the sheep brake-checked an SUV.

Depends on who was driving.
A Galician banker - "fark him"
A Catalan family in a working class neighborhood - "why hasn't this been in the news before?!?!?"

/My but those threads were entertaining...

All I know about sheep is that sometimes they just need to be pushed through a fence.

It got me to thinking that I dont have a stich of wool in my house.  And no lamb / mutton, whatever, either.

No wool?  Sweaters?  Winter socks?  Scarf?

They're Basque with some Peruvians mixed in.

Last bit of wool was a winter coat from a few years back (from Abercrombie of all places).  Nice coat, but went home to leather once it wore out.

Socks are all poly cotton blend and I dont own a scarf.

I would invite wool back into my life if the product were right though.  I'm only anti wool when it comes to blankets.

Do you... Have some overly descriptive suggestions that say a friend of mine could fap to while looking at pictures of sheep?

I'm only asking for my friend.

Are they going to bring back the buggy whip factories as well?  They are just as relevant.

I know, right. Hello! We've already invented factory farming, people.

Huh, now that I think about it, neither do I.

I can't recall ever owning anything wool, it's just too damn uncomfortable.

And I'm out of lamb at the moment.

I did not even think that shepherds still exist as an occupation. Or at least they would be called farmers instead of shepherds.

I'd love to have access to good quality merino top.

It spins great, dyes great-

//is a knitter
//has found a love of recycled yarns for lace work/other projects

I own several wool things. it's warm. There's nothing like wool and down for keeping you warm.

Family Guy actually taught me that one.

It's "hansom". Bad steampunk novels taught me that one.

In related news, I've pretty much wasted my life.
