How did he get past security, without a boarding pass? Also, how'd he get past the airline people without a boarding pass?

9 year old kid steals a bag from baggage claim to use it as a ploy for a dine-and-dash at the airport restaurant?   That's pretty damn clever for that age.

Good job TSA.

Yeah, I feel safer.

2013-10-06 03:44:40 PM
That would have been a better plot to Home Alone 3 than the lame reboot.

More strip searches, coming right up!

and in public. none of this going to a separate room, wastes resources. if you don't mind the naked xray why would you mind a strip search?

charge that little prick with whatever is equivalent to a juvenile felony and throw him into a juvenile maximum security hall. he was taught or taught himself at 9 years old how to beat the system. nip it. nip it in the bud.

He flew Delta, I think that's punishment enough.

The next time I'm heading through security at the MSP airport, I'll just walk past the security desks.  If any TSA officials stop me I'll just say I'm with the 9-year-old kid that already just walked past them.

\ assuming I have a lot of hours to waste, that is.

Nope, fly him home on Spirit.  That'll learn him.

According to wikipedia, this would be Home Alone 6.

''Video shows him grabbing a bag from the carousel and ordering lunch at a restaurant outside of the security checkpoints. He ate and then told the server he had to use the bathroom. He left the bag and never returned to pay''

I think the people of Mpls let him go on purpose - just to get rid of the little sneak.

Pretty much not this. He'll obviously have a CPS file after this and they'll do what they can. Scared straight doesn't work, and juvenile corrections is not a great reducer of recidivism either.

Give him a job with the TSA, he'd do a better job.

2013-10-06 11:54:01 PM
I can see how he might be able to get past TSA by mingling with a group of people, possibly with children.  The agent could lose count of how many boarding passes he had checked.

Maybe the same thing for getting on the plane.  But how does he get past the passenger head count?  He got lucky the plane wasn't full.

How do you know?  They said he was from Mpls, and took the lightrail transit to the airport.
The demographics of Mpls along that rail line (for ages 9-12 years old) is ~44% white.
