Stimied in a Rut: socalnewwaver: dietbubba: socalnewwaver: dietbubba: socalnewwaver: dietbubba: Gotta go to a wedding tonight.  I believe I will have to bust out the LFC tie and cufflinks set

only if you can photobomb roberto martinez

To the photoshops!

heh. i have the original on my work pc.

You know, I don't know if I've ever seen it...hmm...

i've been saving it for the derby. right after he took the job, rm got tricked into posing with three reds at a wedding, with each of them giving the "five times" sign.

Did he remind them that Everton has finished above Liverpool for the last 2 seasons?

He wasn't their manager then. In my book, he can't play that card.

Moyes can, but RM can't.

Beautiful flick header from Gayle.

Damnit, no more clean sheet. Thus, my fantasy team is screwed.

Adnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!  Good lad Moyes, you prick.

This is his first start, right? Is RvP still out?

2013-10-05 11:46:45 AM
This Cardiff/Newcastle game has been one of the most enjoyable and exciting matches I've seen in a long time.

Still no Kagawa though. What is up with this?

2013-10-05 11:47:47 AM
Also if City need a keeper, look no further than Cardiff.  Their keeper has been sensational.

2013-10-05 11:50:26 AM
In other news that no one is paying attention to, Borussia Monchenglabach just handed Borussia Dortmund their first league loss of the season by 2 to 0.

2013-10-05 11:50:45 AM
Adnan's first start. RVP starts. Moyes has less of a clue what to do with Kagawa than Fergie did, which is actually quite an achievement.

2013-10-05 11:52:54 AM
I see Adnan mentioned and all I can think of is Adnan Khashoggi

2013-10-05 11:54:14 AM
A nice round 100 for the day so far. 60 from Liverpool Vs CP, which is very pleasing after a bad last couple of weeks.

2013-10-05 11:55:56 AM
Well, back to the top of the table for now. Just got to win the next two against Newcastle and West Brom before a big one at Arsenal.

Don't underestimate West Brom. Just ask Moyes.

Damn you Darren Bent, for turning what was a good afternoon into an average one.

And now on to Sunderland v united, which can only go badly. How clear can Moyes make it that Kagawa will be out in Jan?

Haven't hit a perfect yet, but much better this week as compared to last

2013-10-05 12:02:15 PM
I'm on +65 so far today.  I have my banker on United winning (probably dumb) and my insurance on a Southampton/Swansea draw. Hoping this week shapes up as well as last.

That's OK, every time Alan Pardew is mentioned I think of Alan Partridge.

And Zaha still can't even get on the bench. I'm beginning to think he must have backed over Moyes' dog in the players' car park.

Still, other than the routinely disappointing Nani, this is a more adventurous selection by Moyes.

We'll lose here.

midpoint: Speaking of roots. The FA and the London Underground both have their 150th Anniversaries this year. Contemporary with Gettysburg.

They have combined to make something cool -  a mash-up of the classic underground map and famous footballers.

I note the '1953 and all that' line just has Stan Mortensen and Stanley Matthews on it.

Well, crap.

2013-10-05 12:35:08 PM
Where did THAT come from?

What was Vidic doing there? My grandmothers can clear better than that, and one of them is dead.

2013-10-05 12:36:25 PM
Horrible clearance after United is on top and they go down 1. Pathetic.

2013-10-05 12:36:51 PM

Lord Jubjub: Where did THAT come from?

Well, it started with laziness from Evra. As usual.

But after that it was a comedy of errors.

2013-10-05 12:37:55 PM
Come on, Sunderland! Make life more miserable for Moyes.

2013-10-05 12:37:55 PM
David Moyes is going to be treated, in rather short order, like anyone possessing the watch in a Penny Arcade strip.

2013-10-05 12:39:24 PM
Man United is one non-pass away from being down 2-0.

2013-10-05 12:40:17 PM
United lucky not to be two-nil down. The defenders seem to have no idea where each other are supposed to be.

2013-10-05 12:41:05 PM
This is one of those times when I can't check FFPL and wonder whether I was stupid enough to bank on MU once again.

2013-10-05 12:41:36 PM
In fairness to Moyes, this is on the players. There's no excuse for this lineup playing this poorly.

I think MU is the new Arsenal- bank on them at your own risk.

The entire city of Manchester is becoming the new Arsenal.

Good point.

2013-10-05 12:47:53 PM
Yup, I was stupid enough to bank a 2-1 MU win. If I'd picked Cardiff-Newcastle, I'd have earned a perfect banker. But Newcastle hasn't been trustworthy enough to bank on. Goddammit.

2013-10-05 12:51:53 PM
From the BBC:

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway on Liverpool's disputed penalty: "I've just seen it and I'm bemused. Was it outside the box and was it really a foul? If you want to compare it to anything, Jimmy Kebe is pulled much worse by Mamadou Sakho at the other end. If one is a penalty and one isn't I don't understand."

2013-10-05 12:52:13 PM
Nani has to hit the target on that, come on
