Paris Hilton's 2013 return to music moves her work into the tried but true framework of other party pop divas such as Ke$ha and Miley Cyrus. Her new song "Good Time" evokes the hedonistic sensations of contemporary night life via an underlying trance beat with electronic vocals. She astutely observes that, yes she's a bit tipsy, perhaps even blackout drunk, and prepared to engage in cheap coitus, but she's having a good time because she's with good company.

This prompts her to ask, are you having a good time? Although the question is more rhetorical in nature, what she is really asking is do you feel the shared connection while we grind on the dance floor in an ecstasy fueled display of simulated sex. The question goes deeper and is indicative of a society that is bored and now culturally bankrupt, but asking are you having a good time, even though there is nothing substantial left, and all that remains to be enjoyed from a falling Rome are tawdry exploits resonating from the most base instincts, yet still there is a good time to be had.

Such explorative questions that are simple, but multidimensional shows real growth in her work and is something we'll be asking for quite some time.

FrancoFile: danielscissorhands: FrancoFile: danielscissorhands: BigMevy: "re-launches"?  I didn't realize she had a pop career.

Unless by pop career you mean having sex with dudes on camera.  In which case take a P and replace it with rn.

Then you get RNOP!

;)

I thought that was an "m".  So she has a MOP career.  Which is accurate as well.

Actually, if you add the m to the last p, you get:

POM.

She is relaunching here career as a spokeperson for POM.

Please don't compare her vagina to pomegranates.  Because I like pomegranates.

If I ever impulsively decide to have a sex change operation, I will be sure to get a pomegranate vagina.

Hmm. But then everyone will take it for 'granate!

LectertheChef: Fade2black: AaronSynn: The 'famous for being famous' trashy chick circle is now complete....

We trash Paris for the obvious reasons...but I do have to give her props that she seems to have mellowed out in the past 5 years or so since her "stint" in Jail.  We certainly don't hear about her partying like Lohan or getting fisted by every video camera within 5 miles like Miley.  I concur with a few people in here...I would eat every inch of her.

What is it with you guys and your stringy meats? Kim Kardashian's the one to eat. Well fatted, soft and tender meats. There's probably not a bad cut of meat on her body. On the other hand, Paris Hilton would probably be a fun fark.

You just nailed it.  Paris seems like she'd be fun...uppity C U next Tuesdays like Kim Kardashian I would imagine feel it's a privelage to be in the same zip code as them...she probably lays there like a dead fish.

Literally.

She might make for a nice stew, perhaps a pot roast. But she's far too stringy and gamey for a proper steak.

Am I living in "Idiocracy" or is there a more complex reason for why Lil Wayne has fans?

Even though I'm an old fart, XMU, college radio and my 12 year old keep me kind of informed.  Wasn't familiar with Lil Wayne.  One of my co-workers rolled me a compilation CD for my edification; I billed her for the 120 seconds it took me to get through the first 10 seconds of each 'song'.  Horrible.

Wrong Trousers: Pharque-it: Is she singing thru the nose?

I think they had to use a lot of auto-tune to correct her 'singing'.

I believe at some point the producer said, "fark it, we'll just autotune the whole damn thing".

More thought went into this review than the entire song and video.

At least better than she can sing, which isn't saying much.

Saying Miley Cyrus inspired Paris Hilton to be a skank is like saying Lil Wayne inspired Keith Richards to try drugs.
