crotchgrabber: I feel like the rich old white guys in 8 Men Out who "watched" the ball game by having the updates read to them by a butler and moving pieces around a giant game board on the wall. Except for the rich and old part.

We don't mind.

Marco came out of his pit stop, splitting Power and Dixon. Dixie obviously not happy.

Helio's team changed the gear cluster on pit road. He rejoins in 20th, 9 laps down.

@JennaFryer
Helio back out on lap 32, 9 laps down and almost all of his points lead gone.

2013-10-05 04:47:51 PM
Dixon first of the leaders to blink. Simona (who was 11 seconds behind) follows into the pits.

2013-10-05 04:49:45 PM
Power in a lap later, slightly slower pit stop. Jack problem. Dixie beats Power for the lead. Pag beats Simona for 8th, which will likely be a top 5 spot soon.

2013-10-05 04:50:51 PM
Pace car out.

2013-10-05 04:50:59 PM
AJ Foyt requesting a black flag for Sato. His radio isn't working, and they can't get him to come into pits.

Dario around. Looks stalled in the middle of the track. Full course yellow.

2013-10-05 04:52:33 PM
Helio, Hinch, & Dario... problems for some big names out there, huh?

I'm happy TK landed the Ganassi ride for next year.

2013-10-05 04:52:41 PM
caution out for Dario losing his 4G network

2013-10-05 04:52:59 PM
Should be a lengthy yellow. They're using this opportunity to sweep the track. Probably in hopes of preventing more cut tires like Sato and Wilson had.

If it's a lengthy caution I want to take the time to ask if anyone else saw Rush yet? farking incredible movie.

I have to go for now but the way this is going I should be back for the end.

My two small town theaters didn't get it. Pretty pissed. I'd probably have to go to Roswell to see it.

Missed the restart. Was putting some soup on.

Robin Miller speculating they'll move this race earlier in the year, and talking about hopes of running it at night so you don't fry the fans. I'm down.

DanZero: I have to go for now but the way this is going I should be back for the end.

You mean tommorrow?

2013-10-05 05:07:56 PM
Marshall Pruett just said that Dixon is saving tons of fuel into turn 2, lifting 50-75 ft before Power.

2013-10-05 05:10:33 PM
Pag passes Simona for 5th.

Vasser says he has enough sponsorship behind him to go hire "the best guy, or girl" for the seat TK is vacating.

Jensaarai: Pag passes Simona for 5th.

He's burning up his PTP faster than anyone else. The timing and scoring page is pretty good for Indy.

RHR in pits with gearbox problems.

2013-10-05 05:15:34 PM
Today has been a bad day for yellow cars.

Vautier clips the wall avoiding Hinch, RHR and Helio with gearbox clusterfarks.

2013-10-05 05:20:09 PM
Sad RHR is sad.

2013-10-05 05:21:01 PM
Dammit Servia.

2013-10-05 05:26:01 PM
Filippi luca'd out with the timing of that yellow.

2013-10-05 05:28:40 PM
Power can't make it. He's merely looking to deny Dixie the most laps led bonus, and then pit for primes to save a set of Reds for Qualifying tomorrow.

2013-10-05 05:30:30 PM
Double pass by Simona. Nice.

2013-10-05 05:30:45 PM
I wanna see Simona on the podium.

You probably will.

Satoed!

seelorq: Satoed!

What? NOOOOOO!!!

2013-10-05 05:32:44 PM
James Jakes makes a pass on Sato.

Sato gets tired.

Yellow out.

2013-10-05 05:33:56 PM
Damn shame about Sato.

2013-10-05 05:34:16 PM
I'm dreamin', but I want the Swiss Miss to pop DIxon.

Rule 34 in my Indycar thread? It's more likely than you think.

2013-10-05 05:35:30 PM
Wilson and Helio derp out trying to miss Sato and the safety truck.

Dixon Tire down?!

2013-10-05 05:39:51 PM

Outtaphase: Dixon Tire down?!

Maybe. That looked like some bad debris he ran over.

He's definitely pulling away from Simona on restart.

2013-10-05 05:40:47 PM
Helio derps a corner again. Full course yellow.

2013-10-05 05:41:24 PM
Oriol's blistered hand reminded me of a scene in Rush.

/good movie
//was expecting more
///was hopped up on cold meds
////I still am

Jensaarai: He's definitely pulling away from Simona on restart.

Yeah, he has an annoying habit of being Dixon like that.

//Great Driver

2013-10-05 05:44:28 PM
Dixon with another big jump on the restart. Simona does slightly better though.

2013-10-05 05:44:52 PM
HOLD ON SIMONA!!!

2013-10-05 05:46:11 PM

seelorq: HOLD ON SIMONA!!!

She's on rather old tires. So here's hoping she doesn't overwork 'em like she did at St. Pete.

2013-10-05 05:47:18 PM
Dario gets spun, rages and starts driving backwards.

2013-10-05 05:47:24 PM
Meanwhile, in Kansas, caution # 10.

The gap is increasing on P3, Justin Wilson.

You may be a TK fan, or a Will Power fan first and foremost, but I think just about everyone around here is a Simona fan.

She's a couple seconds ahead of P3...so far so good.

2013-10-05 05:50:39 PM
Emma Dixon shot, yellow out.

2013-10-05 05:51:40 PM
Wait, no yellow... Guess Conway will just sit there to the end.

2013-10-05 05:53:11 PM
Now we get the yellow. That's probably it, folks. Looks like Simona will get that podium unless they move Conway in record time.
