(Fox News)   New study shows that Chicken McNuggets are composed of about half chicken meat, with the rest a mixture of fat, blood vessels, nerves, organ parts, cartilage, and bone. Waitaminute... you mean there's meat in those things?   (foxnews.com) divider line 181

Not McNuggets, subtard, just nuggets.  They don't specify what chain they come from.  According to snopes, McNuggets have been all white meat since 2003.

Hang on, hang on. Who the hell thinks that fat, blood vessels, nerves, organ parts and cartilage aren't meat?

Meat is defined as animal flesh eaten as food.  Flesh is defined as muscle and fat.

Isn't...isn't that what a chicken is MADE out of?

Some people have no idea what a chicken actually looks like or is made of. I had an employee once that "knew" where eggs came from. The dairy section.

Well, I always figured that chicken nuggets were like cheese whiz. Even if it is 99% cheese, it's still 1% whiz.

And that's not modern cheese whiz. Modern cheese whiz is more like 40% cheese, 50% cheese-type product, 9% horse testicles, and 1% whiz.

They're not bad, although I do miss the mixed meat they used to be prior to going full breast... Nice crisp batter (if you get them either right out of or shortly out of the fryer), pretty good taste...

I prefer Wendy's spicy nuggets, but for some odd reason I get a craving for McNuggets every now and then.

None of those things are not edible so I don't care.

But, then, I've never been under any delusion that these things are healthy so it's easy to remain unsurprised by the obvious....

You want real CHICKEN nuggets, make your own.

Some say that a chicken is made out of mud.
A poor chicken's made of muscle and blood.
Muscle and blood and skin and bones,
A mind that's weak and a beak that's strong.

Yes, muscle, all of which contain blood vessels and nerves and are also often considered organs. What a surprise, indeed.

Neither of those things are edible.

"edible" does not imply "nutritional".

BK recently changed their nuggets, and I think they are great, much better than their old ones. If you haven't had them in a while, go give them another try.

You're right, I was exaggerating for effect.  My point was that while you can eat cartilage and bone, it's not digestible. You might as well be eating sticks and mud for all the good it'll do you.

/organ parts, blood and fat are still okay

Quit it, you're making me hungry!

I love hot dogs. I know exactly what's in them, but I also know that I have never once in my life felt sick. Mild indigestion, possibly..

Hot dogs and bologna and bratwurst... YUM!!
