Skyrmion: CygnusDarius: valar_morghulis: What is it with Italy and shipwrecks?

Even since Roman times, Italians have been lousy with ships.

Yeah I was thinking this sounded like a repeat from the First Punic War.

(Which to be fair, Rome did win, despite all the shipwrecks.)

But, to be fair, it gave way to the Second Punic Wars (The Punic-ing), which were epic.

Order of events from BBC several hours ago.

1) motor quits
2) starts taking on water
3) fire set as a crude sos
4) fire gets out of control
5) occupants congregate on one side of boat
6) boat tips

If this boat had communication capability, anyone who knew how to use it and failed to do so deserves to get shot with a flare gun as many times as it takes to make the kill.

nekom: From what I understand, they lit a fire on the deck for some reason.  Sad.

I wanted to see how big the boat was. Probably overloaded like those Cuban refugee rafts.
