Tough loss today, Bucs and Braves fans.  Good luck to everyone tomorrow - I'll be spending a lot of time in the cafeteria checking the cable tv  =).

Scruffinator: MartinaMcSorley: What_Would_Jimi_Do: kershaw is dealing.

They can't stop talking about how he hasn't got his stuff as he strikes out the side.  I hate postseason announcing.  Sigh.

My proposal, which I've been touting here for a few years now:  Take one announcer from each teams regular broadcast.  I don't care how you decide, fan vote, announcer vote, whatever.  No announcers know the teams playing better than the guys who have announced 150 of the 162 games the respective teams have played.  Not to mention the regular announcers have done countless interviews, pre-game shows, post game shows, and so on.  If you *must* have a third announcer, get one from a neutral team.  Maybe even from the other league(doesn't work in the WS, of course, but even then you could do a fan vote).

Hell, even let the guys from the MLB fan cave decide, as long as they're limited to the local broadcast announcers.  I can't be alone in this.

The thing is, w/ the Dodgers it's going to be Vin Scully 110% of the time. I muted my TV and turned up my radio (for the first 3 innings).

What they need to do is what Fox Soccer had years ago, something called Sky Sports Fan Zone. They get two fans off the street, and let them call a game. It was pretty awesome.

To me, a "tough loss" is one that was close.. one that was in grasp and JUST slipped through your fingers.

Both of these games were over by the 3rd inning.

I wish Mattingly had been smart enough to pitch Belisario in the ninth and save Jansen for tomorrow.  But I'll take the win.

What_Would_Jimi_Do: Lorelle: Yeah, it's pretty annoying and offensive.

it is brian wilson with an earring and wearing a feather.

Nah. Even with a beard of bees, it still wouldn't look like Wilson.

I watched the game online with the sound off & the radio on. Just thought you should know that Scully also called the last 3 innings (which was a pleasant surprise).

SirEattonHogg: Looks like the Dodgers did just fine without Kemp.

Yes, but I would have loved to have him around to DH if they make the series.

God, I really love to watch Puig play.

/Sound wasn't working so I missed the chop and am glad I did.
// Bonus, I was also able to stay awake as I couldn't hear Vince Scully.

I'd be cool with that too.  Especially if they kept bringing them beers.

This is the norm for playoff games on the radio; Vin will take the first and last 3 innings, with Charlie Steiner and Rick Monday taking the middle 3.
