I have to ask about TBS choosing to put cameras tonight in Rubik's Cube Stadium. Is that the emergency neutral site?

I love this, listening to Vinny on the radio, although the radio is ahead of the TV, and the seconds gap is getting bigger and bigger (damn commercials).

They can't stop talking about how he hasn't got his stuff as he strikes out the side.  I hate postseason announcing.  Sigh.

My proposal, which I've been touting here for a few years now:  Take one announcer from each teams regular broadcast.  I don't care how you decide, fan vote, announcer vote, whatever.  No announcers know the teams playing better than the guys who have announced 150 of the 162 games the respective teams have played.  Not to mention the regular announcers have done countless interviews, pre-game shows, post game shows, and so on.  If you *must* have a third announcer, get one from a neutral team.  Maybe even from the other league(doesn't work in the WS, of course, but even then you could do a fan vote).

Hell, even let the guys from the MLB fan cave decide, as long as they're limited to the local broadcast announcers.  I can't be alone in this.

Over the entire second half, and before really, I was saying the Reds were the worst best team. I think the Pirates got a false sense of hope by playing the Reds so many times the last couple of weeks of the season.

I'd hate to see how bad the Cardinals would have beaten the Reds. Probably would have been a no hitter.

Not bad, but I would vote to just have Vin Scully announce all the games.

I thought they would take Kershaw out by 4th inning.  He seemed off by pitch 40-something.  Maybe it's the mound or the humidity, but damn was I wrong.

Inspired by those ads, the past couple nights I have been making my Deluxe Playoff Dogs: Ballpark hot dogs, bacon, Colby jack, avocado (or course), cilantro, onion and brown mustard on a steak roll.  They rock.
