As long as Howard Stern can make poop jokes Americans will believe freedom of speech is alive and well.

Never mind people are being rounded up and investigated for questioning the government, which is what freedom was speech was supposed to stop in the first place

What about our newfound freedom to be tracked and monitored 24/7 by the NSA without our knowledge or consent? Doesn't that freedom count for something?

Oh look how precious you are.   And by precious, I mean dangerously stupid.

The internet should have freedom--this is better for humanity as a whole in the long run (socially, technologically, and economically) and the NSA, Obama, and governments worldwide deserve all the flack they've been getting for their respective violations of personal liberties.

THAT SAID, let's not act SURPRISED that it isn't free.  The internet is essentially a product of the US Government, a.k.a. "The Man" to libtards, or "The State" to conservatards.  Their respective idealizations of it as some kind of "Freedom Frontier"/"Capitalist Playground" are delusional fallacies.  It was never free--it came from the Feds, plain and simple.  If we want it to be free we need to start wrestling it away, not act like it was recently taken from us.
