It's even worse when you find out that your 8 year old uncle died in that same camp, because he befriended a Jewish boy and tried to help him search the camp for his missing father, and then ended up going in the gas chamber.

I thought Amon Goeth's children had been public for many, many years?

I don't know -- it's cool trivia, and it's not like crimes or guilt are genetically-transmitted.  If you thought that way, you know who you'd be like of course...

My grandfather died at a concentration camp; he fell out of the guard tower.

She seems to be kind of attention whoring. The actual connection is pretty much strictly genetic - she never knew him, and barely knew her mom, and her mom never mentioned him. She discovered it in a book, and decided to tell the whole world how conflicted it made her feel.

And sell a book about it.

Meh.

Her mother (his daughter) gave her daughter up for adoption.  But visited until she was 7, and one time after that.

The daughter just figured it out, and thought the shared last name was a coincidence until now.

That's actually a misunderstanding. The Talmud says that you inherit your shinsfrom your parents. So if your parents were prone to arthritis you probably will be as well.

This one, the grand-daughter, is a 'darkie' like Jesse Owens, so the story has that going for it.

Total non-farking story, really. Perfect for the media because it can write about Nazis and how cool they were, or something.

Grandpa ?

Inheritance is a documentary about this guy's youngest daughter.

She goes to the concentration camp and to his former home there. She takes along a survivor who worked in his home.

There's one story about the young worker's boyfriend--he assured her that he had buried her mother when she died--who also worked for Goeth. One day Goeth shows up at the house and asks the girl where the boyfriend was. She said she didn't know. Goeth stormed out of the house, hunted the boy down and shot and killed him.

If you're into the macabre, you can watch Goeth's execution on youtube. It takes a couple of tries. The Poles were too kind to him. He should have been executed like the SS executed Wilhelm Canaris, a double agent who commanded the Abwehr. They stripped him naked, hanged him with piano wire till he was almost dead then lowered him down and let him recover. Then strung him up again. They repeated this process for over a half an hour.

Some people lose their shiat when they find out their ancestor was a slave owner. This is a fark of a lot worse. I've seen her bio mother in interviews, she comes off poorly but it's because she's seriously....seriously farked up over being Amon Goeth's daughter. And her kid sounds like she had a fun life, foster care until 7 then never seeing her mom again until adulthood. That's gotta be hard enough. Then you find out your father was a monster.

I'm gonna give her a pass on this one.
