Miley is probably the only one in that family bringing in the bucks. So, to keep her from twerking her $$$ right out the door, something she's already threatened to do before (IIRC, when her parents were going to divorce), they have to keep her happy. Once she gets full control of it, they're screwed, and her epic trainwreck will go full steam ahead.
