Don't think that this won't get a hand slap behind closed doors. The US has a real interest in negotiating a deal, and with the ayatollah backing this time around? Yeah Iran is ready to come to the table as well. So I would expect those talks behind those doors to politely tell Israel to sit down and shut up for a minute.

fusillade762: FALSE FLAG!

In all seriousness, given that there's a pretty big internal shift in Iran's internal politics that involves a fairly moderate, secular faction that's very popular displacing an authoritarian, historically violent faction that seized power in the first place by murdering everyone that disagreed with it...

... I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the assassins here might not be from an  externalpower.  Iran's whole  thing is sabotaging peaceful shifts in power with brutality, intimidation, and violence, that's basically the entire charter of their government.

Only because you don't want to negotiate and never did. Which is why bad things are happening.

Its no mystery why Iran is in the spot it is.  They aggravate their neighbors with missile tests, thumb their nose at the UN with its nuclear program, and get directly involved in civil wars by training soldiers and selling weapons.
So, yea, someone takes another shot at them and that's the only reason they won't come to a table that's been open for the better part of three decades... Or it could be that they've ignored a list of requests from the world for them tostop being dickheads.

If they tackle any one item the problem starts to go away.   Instead they've made it more of a point to escalate by recently adding hacking to their list of annoying behaviors.

That doesn't put anyone else in a negotiating mood either.

That's because they are faced with the same kind of diplomacy that anti-gun people use.  They want to take the whole cake but will compromise and take just half this time.  The next time they want the other half but will compromise and only take a quarter while giving none of the first half back.  Rinse, repeat.

It's completely one sided diplomacy, Israel gives up territory and they stop threatening them until they decide they want Israel to give up more territory.
