machoprogrammer: So if you are talking to someone, where do you look?

I was told (in my HS speech class) that if you are uncomfortable looking other people in the eye, look at their foreheads.

I think I might be a little off, as even though I can't make eye contact with someone I am meeting the first time, yet I feel more comfortable when I make eye contact during public speaking.  Making eye contact during public speaking just relaxes me and I don't sound so monotone and rigid, and it isn't with one person, as I scan the room.  For the life of me, I rarely can look at someone's eyes when meeting someone for the first time face to face, even when it is a friend of a friend.

OH shiat! TITAN!

Holy crap, great show! Beautiful animation with a compelling storyline. Like it almost as much as I like Ghost in the Shell!

Which show is it?

It's called Attack on Titan.

I'm not intimidated by eye contact, although I would be if I were a girl.

Eyes freak me out; I find it baffling how some people consider them beautiful or incorporate them into art. Of course, in my line of work, people are complete hardass toughguys, so I force eye contact anyway for a couple of reasons: shifty eyes indicate an untrustworthy, insecure, or a major drug abusing person (even if that person is simply suffering from bad social anxiety). Gotta deal with the social norms, but it's energy draining for me.

I believe in eye contact. No, not looking at someone. EYE. CONTACT.

Frederf: EYE. CONTACT.

It's serious now, man.
