Evidently, subby is an educated man. Now I really hate him.

From his face I can see that he never saw the Eye of London.

So he died lucky.

No wonder they call America the new world.  Their motto is "I came, I saw, I came again".

Subby, the "ego" is unnecessary, as as "sum" means "I am"

Unless you have a really big ego, I guess.

Thank you!  That was bothering me too, but I didn't want to be the douche who pointed it out.

(Plus Google had a whole bunch of hits of that exact phrase and no translations)

Do the Brits spell artifact 'artefact,' or is that a copy edit fail?

I was thinking today that I envy people who live in places where recorded history took place.

Then I realized that I know more of the history of London, or Rome or even the American revolutionary and civil wars than of Montreal and south of it where I live. I think I'll do something about that.

I won't drop my interest in European history though, I'm very exited that next year will be the 100th aniversary of the Great War.

OTOH: That you don't need it doesn't mean you can't use it.
As for Googling a translation and the bunch of hits: it's a phrase from the bible.

/ I've come, I've seen, but I've died.

That's how they spell it.  In their defence, they labour very hard to ensure that their spelling is correct.  Don't be kicking them to the kerb or sending anyone to gaol over it.

Cool, thanks. Their special spellings do add a bit of flavour to the language.
