Two or three years ago in September, I went to Munich on a business trip and after the morning meetings I had gone there to attend, I got to spend the day at Oktoberfest.  That night I went to the Munich airport and flew to London to continue the business trip with more meetings in London.  So I followed Subby's advice and did Oktoberfest "in Germany then in Britain," and I'm not sure I agree with it.  It would've been far better to just stay in Munich, because that was awesome.

Ok, who's the submitter with the finger on the submit button for every link that says Oktoberfest?!

And are these links sponsored by the same company that bought Andhowsyour-Bush?

It's faster to take the train.  It's a few hours from Vienna to Munich, so you have time to down a six-pack of Fosters to get warmed up.

Anyone who's been to Oktoberfest knows it's a bigger sausage fest than Dupont Circle on a saturday night.

And I'm not talking about bratwurst.

Well, the easiest way to get a green light is to fark up the grammar in your headline.

Wurstfest rocks, if you ignore the crappy American beer, and all the other ripoffs endemic to the Texas theme of 'Making money hand over fist", namely to the tourist rubes.

I'll stick with Zinzinnati, the largest Oktoberfest in the US. They shut down the whole downtown area and get their party on.

Is is still going on?  Despite its name, it mostly takes place in September in Munich.  Does it run through the first weekend in October, perhaps?
