With all due respect people from Colorado are so much better than the people in the northeast.

You're not getting shiat while the government is shut down so maybe look into fixing that first.

2013-10-02 01:15:43 PM
Of course they did. Who is surprised?

2013-10-02 01:15:46 PM
Then let them vote no on a bill granting aid to both regions :D

CO voted for Obama too in the last election.

2013-10-02 01:17:18 PM
Of course they did.  You're the real hypocrite for thinking there isn't a difference.

2013-10-02 01:17:55 PM
It's ok when we do it.

Guess it's not so quiet now.

Why do you say that?  Are you that impressionable that you believe Long Islanders acting like idiots at the Jersey Shore are representative of residents of that state?

Let them suffer. Any state that voted against sandy relief aid should be banned from getting federal aid. Especially red states

2013-10-02 01:38:36 PM
This is why I feel the American social contract has been broken. The way Republicans or 'Middle America' treated the people who suffered from Katrina or Sandy is NOT the way I was raised to think of America. When Americans are in need, WE HELP. Full stop. No politics. Hurricane Andrew? We didn't condemn them for their politics, WE HELPED. Floods in the Mississippi watershed? WE HELPED.

Now I feel if, God forbid, something happens to us, help will not be coming because THESE "PEOPLE" ARE NOT THE AMERICANS I THOUGHT THEY WERE.

Republicans are hypocritical a-holes?  Who'd have thunk it?

Yeah, no. fark that and any suggestion even remotely similar. The people of Colorado need help - I don't care what idiot is in charge of them at the moment. We don't punish our fellow citizens for the selfish idiocy of a few.

Apparently we do when those Americans live on the eastern seaboard.

Leading by example. I like it, but you know that without repeating it on the floor of [$chamber] every day for...hmmmmm...10,000 years?, it's not going to sink in that "We're not voting to give Colorodans aid. We're not voting to give Missourians aid. We're not voting for aid for News York, Jersey, OR Orleans.

"We're voting to give aid to other Americans, because that's what we are, and that's who we care about. Period, full stop."

// I'm not even sure 3,650,000 repetitions would be enough

OK, new rule: Colorado gets the money, but their congresspeople have to take an oversized novelty check directly from Obama in a ceremony with full press access and shown live on CO TV stations.

Agreed, but I'd really like it if we could find a way to punish the idiots in charge while we're at it.  I dunno, waterboarding or something.  We could make it part of the bill.

I believe Oklahoma did the same thing as well after it was hit by tornadoes earlier this year. Still needs repeating though.

I am always humored by Republicans who claim that they are the party of morals - waving their Bibles and telling everyone else how to live clean lives.

Truth can only be told with actions.  Words only exist to lie.  If your actions can not match your words, say so.  All Republican actions of the last 20 years have been lies.

"Pro-life" but love killing 100,000 Iraqis.
"Pro-Jesus" but hate everything that is slightly different.
"Pro-creationism" but quickly rely on real science and genetic research when their lives are on the line.
"Pro-fiscal responsibility" but spend our money like drunken sailors on their own needless pet projects.
"Anti-welfare" but are always constant leaches on the tax dollars paid by blue states.

Is there any aspect of their lives that isn't hypocritical?

If you want to reduce pork, all federal money that goes to the states should be handled in that way.

You want the DOT to pay for that new bridge? Here's your GIANT CHECK Senator.

Speaking as a resident of that city and a displaced New Englander, concur.

Also, I still owe someone a beer over the CO 10th recall, but they keep failing to show up in CO threads that I poke into.

2013-10-02 02:41:44 PM
Surely they're proposing offsetting the expense against programs that benefit the poor.

long islanders don't go to the jersey shore, they have miles of their own ocean shoreline (hence the name) with their own guidos

Well, it wasn't "the state" and most of the flooding happened in Jared Polis' district who voted for the funding, so all due respect: farking kill yourself today.  Thanks, peaches!

not to mention driving 2 hours thru brooklyn, over expensive bridges and thru scenic Staten Island and northern new jersey to get to the shore, your assertion is profoundly ludicrous

You mean, the guys who voted for funding in CO who didn't vote for funding in NY and NJ?  Would they be able to vote for funding in CO if they had killed themselves (as you suggest) after not voting for funding this year in a god damn despicable display of human assholery?  Zombie Breitbart, your thoughts?

2013-10-02 02:54:22 PM
This is totally a repeat.  We had this thread shortly after the flooding happened.

I am not sure why you have to get so testy.  I am just saying, these guys should kill themselves and then they wouldn't be able to vote for funding for you.  And the original poster (who wasn't me) is mostly likely trying to argue that maybe they (CO voters) will wake up and stop electing GOP dickheads if the Bad Karma keeps biting them on the ass.

But keep yelling at everyone in this thread who has valid points to make.  Sorry CO got hit bad, but again, they're valid points.

Lamborn will likely only ever be replaced by an even more loony GOP dickhead, unfortunately.  His only threat is in the primary, and Colorado Springs is rather loony right wing.

Who doesn't have a few dipshiat gop tards in their state?  Don't lay their bullshiat on the rest of us.  They are voted in by small enclaves of mouthbreathers and don't represent the majority of the state which has been blue at the state and national level for awhile.

Liberals would just waste the money. Conservatives really need it

/Sadly, an actual statement I overheard.

I think the point is when a democrat idiot decides to be an idiot, the rest of the party distances themselves from them and marginalizes them, and they get torn apart by Fark despite having a (D) beside their name.

When the dipshiat gop tards do it, the rest of the party doesn't do anything for fear of failing the gop litmus test. Then they put them in powerful positions they really shouldn't be in, while the moderates are the ones who are ignored or eventually purged from the gop altogether. Meanwhile on Fark the usual suspects show up to defend them in the most asinine way possible.
