This would explain why it seems like every GIS related to fossils seems to include images of scantily-clad women. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Well, I suppose after Drew's book, the publishing world realized that anything could be published, and sell well.

Someone's taking a T-Rex dong? That should be a pretty short book. Anyway,  if bestiality becomes the new housewife go-to taboo bestseller I'm checking off this planet.

Here's the thing... Have you delved into bird and lizard farking? They don't do it very well. In the past 65 million years mammals and humans have really reached an apex of farking, thanks to our opposable thumbs, dexterous tongues,  and ability to fark all year long.

'Azog stood, back to the wall, clad only in damp buckskins, waiting for the beast to slash at her torso until she lay helpless and bleeding on the damp cave floor. 'She wondered if it would kill her first, or if her limbs would be sliced from her body as the beast gorged on her. 'Instead, it reached out with a clawed hand to snatch at her damp animal hide as it clung to one shoulder. 'Azog felt the kiss of sharp claws against her skin as the hide slid from her shoulder and exposed on naked, heaving breast. 'The raptor paused, curious, sniffing at her as she pressed desperately against the wall. A reptilian tongue, stiff and hot, dashed out to lick at the tender, naked flesh so suddenly exposed. Azog gasped at the touch, then gradually relaxed as her body warmed to the intoxicating sensation of the beast's flesh against her own.'

This will only get worse.  The advent of the Ereader has ushered in an era of being able to read the trashiest of trash while keeping from the social stigmatisms.  Soon housewives will be delving into harder and harder errotica until the point where even my own demended mind cringes in horror.  Or would that be better?

These days you have to be a REALLY shiatty writer not to get published someplace.  Since now e-publishers only put out what gets sold and a lot of it will be in e-book form which is super-cheap to produce dust off your manuscripts and take your chances, wannabes!  My former seventh grade English teacher, who badly wanted to be a sci-fi writer, is now a published sci-fi writer through an e-publisher.

I think you're missing the point. Porn in literature is as old a literature itself. The point of Rule 34 is the "WTF?" factor. Increasingly lower barriers to publishing lead to increasingly an higher weird factor.

I think I read this book. Or at least many years ago I read this book "West of Eden" the plot of which was a group of dinosaur people that took some cave people captive to learn about them one gets away and teaches them to fight back. The interspecies sex scene took my little young mind by surprise for sure.

/The dinos were matriarchal and it was a cave man if that makes a difference

i'll be publishing my first book on amazon next month (i hope).  on one hand, e-book publishing is an amazing opportunity for great writers who appeal to a small audience but traditional publishers won't give them a chance.  on the other hand, every terrible writer can now crank out some garbage and sell it, when before they were limited to posting it for free on their own website.  i think that consumers know that though, and if you read e-books you'll already have experience with bad books that should never have been published.  that's why its so important to allow readers to read the first couple chapters for free, so they can tell right away if the book is even remotely worth reading.

No, the point of Rule 34 isn't the WTF factor.  That's just a side benefit.  Rule 34 is just codifying a truth.

it struck me as not that much different than any story with extraterrestrial sex.  But otherwise, really interesting clash between the two species, culturally and warfare-wise.

In general, you are correct. I was referring to the point of invoking Rule 34 in the headline, and countering the naive commenters that complained "Porn has been in literature since the 1960s/1930s". Dinosaur porn in "print" is new.
