Its funny as shiat

The government had many months to plan, and yet the did the most idiotic thing: they used Windows Server to host their farking exchange site

This is incompetence at its worst, people.

2013-10-02 11:59:38 AM
Meh.  If Hannity scared some ignorant viewers he accomplished his task.

2013-10-02 12:03:46 PM
You need to use Obamacare websites to call an ambulance.

2013-10-02 12:20:03 PM
Dialing 911 is now only for Obamacare subscribers, from the sound of it.

Thank God Hannity has brought  this outrage to light.

2013-10-02 12:21:11 PM
So their big concern with Obamacare is that people won't get enough coverage? Or is it that it won't be simple enough to access?

Compared to the GOP House of Representatives, it's a shining beacon of effectiveness.

"Think of how you'd feel today if you actually had a medical emergency - had to go through this mess before they send an ambulance. At least the Ford Edsel wasn't a matter of life and death," he said.

That is the most mind-bendingly stupid thing I've heard all week, and this week has been a real doozy of mind-bendingly stupid quotes.

Drew had months to plan for election night and Fark still crashed. What else you got?

"Think of how you'd feel today if you actually had a medical emergency - had to go through this mess before they send an ambulance."

I mean, that's not how it works, at all, but think of how you'd feel today if that were true. Think of how you'd feel today if you actually had to donate to Obama before you could call 911. Think of how you'd feel today if you needed to abort a baby before you could get your tax return. Just think about it. Doesn't that make you angry?

Yeah, that's why private enterprise is always going to be better and more efficient. Like the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 Online yesterday? Smooth as a baby's bottom. No problems at all, I'm sure!

On the inside and out. I had the great displeasure of meeting him one time. Wanted to dig his brains out of his eyes with a spoon but then realized it would have been a fruitless exercise.

FTFA: Also, as Media Matters' Brian Powell correctly noted, in 1986, Congress passed the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, which stipulates that no Emergency Room can turn away a person in need of medical treatment, regardless of their ability to pay.

But let's not cloud the issues with facts, coz ZOMG SOSHULIZM!!1!

Hannity knows exactly what he's doing.  He says just the right amount of crap about a subject so his base audience will eat it up and not question it.  Everyone else on the planet, of course, knows it's crap and might even call him out on it, but by then it's too late.  It's out there and his regulars eat it up.

Of course they did. It's an Exchange site after all. What else are ya gonna run Microsoft Exchange Server on, hmmmmmmm!? I mean, like, y'know, duh!!

For those of you keeping score at home, Sean is now concerned that it takes too long for the uninsured to sign up for ObamaCare in case they have a medical emergency.

He's marginally less stupid than the woman on The Daily Show last night who said Obamacare would force women to go to the TSA for breast exams. It's a mighty small margin and a mighty low bar.

Then let's privatize EMS.  Then they can deny you service during an emergency because you're behind on your payments.

2013-10-02 01:08:43 PM
"This is 911, what is your emergency?"
"I think I'm having a heart attack..."

I'd be shocked.. shocked I say, if any of those websites were built by actual government employees and not by overpaid private sector contractors.

2013-10-02 01:09:16 PM
I've heard Sean Hannity decry the IRS for targeting conservative groups then talk about how its a crime that the government wasn't profiling Muslims and tapping the phones and bugging mosques almost in the same sentence.

This ranks rather low on his "dumbest shiat said" list.

2013-10-02 01:10:00 PM
So by that line of reasoning, I could simply call 999 and get free healthcare from the UK, right?  Because gov't healthcare is completely attached to the emergency services number.

Good thing I have my Obamaphone so even if I'm in a life threatening accident while applying for Obamacare on my Obamaphone, I can call 911

Maybe they should just dial 0118 999 881 999 119 7253 instead.

So the solution is to no give them healthcare so they don't even have the ability to get treated so they can just die in peace and not have to wait for anyone to even attempt to treat them? Is that what he's saying?

If there's anything that Republicans hate more than people having health care, it's people having hope.

Furthermore, under ObamaCare all ambulance rides must be paid for with platinum coins that weigh 15,000 pounds.

Yeah. You do know that you're only allowed to sign up for coverage under Obamacare, right? This doesn't actually kick in until January 1st. You realize that, right?

Because the whole point of the program isn't for people to get insurance before they get sick.

Only if you can somehow figure out how to punch either Rand Paul or Mitch McConnell in the face as well before getting arrested.

I will do whatever necessary to get you the best lawyer ever. And by whatever necessary, I mean I'll stand on the corner and threaten to take my clothes off unless people give me huge sums of money.

There's an old saying that I think really explains the right-wing conservative media:

"People won't remember exactly what you said, but they will always remember exactly how you made them feel."

One of those Dale Carnegie/Zig Ziglar types said it.

They don't have to be true, or even coherent most of the time since their audience will have forgotten exactly what is angrying up their blood by the time they get to the end of the show. All they know is that their anger is righteous (because they were told it is), they're the majority (because they're told they are) and that the 'enemy' is taking what is rightfully theirs (the country, God, their guns, their liberty, their mobility scooters).

All that matters is how they 'feel' about the issues. Not what the issues actually are, not what the consequences and costs might be, but how those pretty blonde ladies and Real American Manly Men make them feel when they watch the talking box.
