Well, they did find Lancaster deputy sheriffs' finger prints on the steering wheel and rear half of the car.

Besides, York county doesn't have the crime rate of Lancaster, so it must've happened in Lancaster.

In Texas, the murder can be prosecuted in either the county where it allegedly happened or in the county where the corpse was first found. Concurrent jurisdiction.

So this. Who wants to put in the massive effort involved in investigating a dead body with no clues who lived in another county? I would want to clear that off my desk too.
