"From time to time we'll stick the wrong word in the wrong place, and you pounce upon it," the staunchly anti-abortion rights Republican governor told reporters in New Jersey, Bloomberg News reported."

Nice try, governor, but she when she said it the reporter did a double take and asked if she really meant it:

"Mrs. Perry, I want to be sure you didn't just inadvertently make news," Smith replied. "Are you saying that you believe abortion is a women's right, to make that choice?"

She said it's not a choice she would make, but "yeah, that could be a women's right. Just like it's a man's right if he wants to have some kind of procedure. But I don't agree with it, and that's not my view."
/the exchange is at ~2:50 in the linked video

This is why you never let a woman out of the kitchen?

Beat her with a sock full of oranges Rick, it won't leave any bruises.

I'm pretty sure she meant that she meant whatever her damned husband damn well said she meant or else!

This man was a credible candidate for GOP presidential candidate.  Remember?

Rick Perry is a muppet, and I mean absolutely no disrespect to the Jim Henson Workshop when I say that.

Fark Rick Perry

That is all

Much rather deal with Steve Perry.

Or Perry the Platypus.

Michael J. Fox eventually came to find a glimmer of Elvisness, but Rick Perry still has no Elvis in him.

There are 3 reasons why what she said was ill-conceived:
1) Herp
2) Derp
3) Oops

Christ, what an asshole.

I have a very strong feeling the Governor hasn't gotten any lovin' from her oven in a very, very long time.

FTFY. He was never credible. I still can't believe he stayed in the race as long as he did.

I made this for a PS contest earlier this year, it's still appropriate:

Stupid liberal media. Turning his wife into an actual, you know, woman.

I heard Perry likes guys anyway. Probably because they can't have an abortion.

See, pro-lifers? Perry hates abortion so much it drove him straight (so to speak) into the arms of a donut puncher!

/while you are mansplaining, which three federal agencies would you get rid of again?

And since he had his balls cut open and tied up to get more sex from her, that probably pisses him off to no end.

That may be the best usage of "mansplain" ever.

Well, sure.  About soap operas and various household cleaners, maybe the best way to fold sheets or how to make a 7-layer dip when the boys come over to watch A&M.  But look at what happens when you ask someone with a woman sized brain about big issues like abortion.  They get all confused!

As the bible says: The Man is the Master of all creatures and the Woman better shut her whore mouth and get back in the kitchen and make him a sammich or he will say publicly that She is a Witch and its time for some Barbecue.

/The bible(all of them religious cults including christianity) is a nice book of morals: How to have wives as slaves and how to have 'lesser people' as slaves.

When I realize that Molly Ivins missed seeing Perry at the absolute peak of his career, I am saddened. I personally think she was a modulating influence on the "boost creep" that has taken over Texas Republicans.

My God!  Who did this to you?  Let me drive you to the police station right now.

"From time to time we'll stick the wrong word in the wrong place, and you pounce upon it," the staunchly anti-abortion rights Republican governor told reporters in New Jersey,

You mean like how you salivated over "You didn't build that," in which no word was stuck in the wrong place, but you and your ilk rallied around it without a hint of context? When your neighbor finally finished his backyard deck and loudly proclaimed, "Fark you, Obama, I built this!"?

And btw, this is the first I've heard of this. If there was any "pouncing" done, I must have been asleep at the time. Of course, according to them, blogs are "the media."

No one is claiming that certain blogs won't look at any way to criticize or mock a particularly nasty or ignorant Republican, but you guys have it down to an art form. Your whole media. Farking bumper stickers and everything. Wake me when "Even Mrs. Perry thinks abortion is a woman's right" is being used to paint Perry as a hypocrite.

2013-10-01 11:44:34 PM
It is a woman's right under the laws as they currently exist.  That certainly doesn't mean either he or she agrees that is the way it should be.  That said, thanks to all that is holy that she said this as the wife of a failed presidential candidate and not as the first lady.

2013-10-01 11:44:35 PM
Sooo... there's a particular procedure that men can get now that he wants to limit or outlaw? Am I reading this right?

2013-10-01 11:49:39 PM
A woman's biological imperative is to reproduce, and there is absolutely nothing about giving birth that wouldn't be funnier if it were a guy talking about how horrified he was by it.

Now's not really a good time to trot out this particular horse, Ricky. Now's a good time to shut your mouth and keep it shut.

Rick is gonna be pouncing on the couch cushions for sometime I would imagine......with the plastic covers still in place.
