Whenever I visit Chicagoland and ride the tollways, I pay for myself plus the person behind me.  They often race up and thank me, others are just weirded-out.  Good times.

So? I hand out dollar bills all the time. I'm helping to support the acrylic heels industry, as well as all the fine people who manufacture and install hair extensions. Where's my goddamn news article?

I have a dollar. Hungry for homeless.

Although it would be nice to have a dollar, it would be even nicer to not be hassled for masturbating in public.

The additional stories at the bottom of the article about murdered/kidnapped white girls really adds a special eh... tone, to this piece.

As a summer job I was an Tollway construction inspector, so be careful on NB I-294 over the Edens near Deerfield.  Those pilings in the fast lane are sub-standard.

How much does it cost. For 75 cents or something you aren't doing them a favor. The confusion and weirdness isn't worth that little.

Now, if you're going for weirdness, then good for you. Maybe pay only half the toll of the next car to be weirder.

As a bonus the NSA can track your iPass so they'll know where to find you when they want to give you a dollar.

Weird. Wouldn't homeless people be in more need of a dollar than people driving by? I am not too sure what their whole point is.

That is right by me, but then again I assume everything done by the state of IL is substandard.

75 cents? Last time I was in Chicago I paid almost $6 in tolls and only went about 10 miles. The on-ramp at 75th Street and 355 basically leads right into a toll plaza less than a mile away. Oh, you got on 60 seconds ago? That'll be $1.90.

What I always think when I see stories like these is that while its nice that these people are helping others it would be nice if we had a system that didn't leave people to live on the streets in the first place. Charity gives you the warm and fuzzies I guess, but is not very effective overall. By all means though, be happy that there are nice people out there who do these sorts of things but wouldn't it be great if we had a society as a whole that was nice like that?

Nope, can't have that! Socialism!

If it helps, I thought it was a pathetic waste of time hearing about some jackasses who gave out $1 dollar bills to 100 cars...  They probably screwed up traffic and if I had my way, the Range Rover driver from the biker video would have done his thing to them.  $100 dollars?  What holy great altruistic Samaritans!

Are they Republicans?; "Pff, I'm not going to give money to broken, starving people on the street. They're all probably making more money than me. I'll give dollars to people who don't need them!"

Bullshiat.  That's only if you're going south.

...if you're going north, the toll booth is on the ramp itself. :D
