Quoting the quote from the link:

"I have one more album on my contract, and I'm looking forward to doing more digital distribution," Yankovic says in a call from his Los Angeles home. "Because I think, particularly with what I have to do, I need to be as immediate as possible, and that means getting my material out quickly...So, I don't even know after this next CD if I'll be doing any kind of traditional releases anymore because it seems like everything I do is geared more toward being online and being immediate. And I'm doing my best to figure out a way to do that."

Do ya'll actually read this stuff? I mean, the words form sentences that convey meanings and EVERYTHING!

Same here.  But fortunately, some of his parodies are funny on their own merits, without having to know the original.  As a youngster, I loved "Dare to Be Stupid" long before I knew what a "Devo" is, and I still don't know what the original song was that he used to make "I Lost on Jeopardy" (yeah, I could look it up, but that'd be a minute out of my day that could be spent arguing with people in Fark threads).

That's what his "Polka Your Eyes Out" compilation songs are for. Songs that are otherwise hard to parody just sound ridiculous when put to polka.

The Stealth Hippopotamus: Well that is good news.

But he's also said elsewhere that it's going to be his last, sadly

But he had a good long run, and was always an under appareciated musician.   I saw the Ramones on their farewell tour, David bowie from 25ft away in a smoky nightclub, George Clinton back in the day, Chuck Brown and  Johnny Cash at the 9:30 club David Bowie doing duets with Trent Reznor in a giant arena show, and musically Weird Al's show still ranks as one of the best I've ever seen.   That man plays a mean guitar when he wants to
