That karma thing involving the dead is so not worth it.

This time the tag should replace "inine" with "shole"

People this cold and uncaring just don't deserve to live.  The world would be better off without them.

Maybe they were just seeking peace?

What type of person does this? Destroys grave sites for kicks and giggles?

Let's hope we don't have to wait too long for karma to catch up with these idiots.

Back in high school the cemetery was a great place to drink, smoke some weed, make out.... etc. But even then we avoided walking across the grass covering the tombs.... I know.... stupid superstitious kids. Actually it was respect for those who had gone on before us.

Nobody thought about vandalism. There was no interest in drawing police attention to the best teen hangout spot in the entire county.

My first date with my wife was in a cemetery. Perfect and total privacy after the sun sets.

Subby needs to work on reading comprehension. The graveyard has people in it FROM the 1800s, started being used in the 1950s.

My Eagle project was restoring a similarly vandalized historic grave site.  I have no idea what prompts people to do stuff like that but I'm assuming that it involves alcohol.

HP Lovecraft describes what happens to those who desecrate graves in macabre detail here.  Not your typical HPL story about elder beings and such....this one is grounded in concepts that are a bit more frightening for folks today.  Vengeful spirits don't particularly care for grave robbers, y'know.

When I was in college two guys stole an old gravestone from a local cemetery of a girl aged 5-8.  They made up a story that she was found raped, naked, and murdered in a cornfield and sort of made a shrine to the gravestone.  They showed it to me and it looked pretty strange.  I don't think they were making a serious shrine so much as to elicit a reaction from people.  They did get a reaction when one of the half-dozen called the police.  I remember them going into their rooms and figured it was best to go into my room and let them take care of things.  Those two guys were tending towards the mega-stupid.

The Evil Home Brewer: Back in high school the cemetery was a great place to drink, smoke some weed, make out.... etc.

I went on a photo-expedition at the local boneyard because the stones have some amazing artwork on them, and while I don't care if people hang out there and do those activities... the fact that they leave their garbage there is reprehensible. Found a nice pile of Bud cans in one spot. Take your shiat with you, jackholes >.< - besides, that's like leaving money lying around in New York!
