List fails without the end of Death Proof.

Careful, Den of Geek, your mascara is starting to run.

What a lame excuse for an article.

Well... that was dumb.

No one should be allowed to be happy about this huge, world-changing good thing, because a relatively low-impact bad thing happened at some entirely different point in the story.

In other news, how dare you express happiness about anything ever, don't you know there are starving children in Africa?

Yeah, seriously, just because Darth Vader is one guys father, he was a pretty bad dude!  They should be more upset about celebrating the destruction of the death star that had so many "prisoners" that it requird an entire level of a moon-sized space station!

You'd think Han and Luke could have at least unlocked all the doors after getting Leia out, huh?

Wow, that is truly one stupid article. I guess we shouldn't have had all those celebrations after WWII because 60 million people died.

It would have provided some useful confusion, if nothing else.

Yeah, pretty stupid. Of course people are going to celebrate averting WWIII, or defeating the aliens that were going to end the world, especially in a movie. It sucks that people died, but that's not really the point of movies, at least not movies like this.

Ooooh, a real world example, I like that. Wasn't even thinking about that, but it is perfect...

Even for Den of Geek that article was a huge pile of steaming shiat.

I dont know why I ever click on their articles. I just want to punch DoG in it's stupid internet face.

"Death Before Dishonor"

When your ultra-patriotic ending elicits boohs and "oh bullish*t" from a small town North Dakota theater, you have truly failed.

I can't believe I read that whole thing. I'm ashamed.

Even if you bought into that article, I'd argue that the seemingly callous celebrating in Starship Troopers kind of matches the tone of the movie.

This article should tell you what you need to know about the author.

Han was too busy trying to find out intimate details of a mook's life

Maybe she was the only prisoner. The Death Star was still pretty new at the time

They were just going to blow them up anyway. Why tease them?

That would have been the beginning of a much better list. Perhaps one that also included Independence Day, what with the entire world demolished by billion ton spaceships all crashing down over every major population center in the world.
