It seems to me, that the Senate is acting like the adults, and the Tea Party Republicans are acting like spoiled babies.

I see my 401k tanking again and the rich sucking money out of it like they did back in 2007.  I don't mind the shutdown so much as I do the farking retards that thinks it would be a good idea to default on what we owe.  That's what scares me the most.

The government has been shutting down since 1913 and in 1982, they pulled it off.

Snarking aside, what does this do to customs?

My company does a lot of shipping out of the country, and has jobs that need to be shipped this coming month to Canada.

Yes, because eventually we're just going to suddenly start being anti-healthcare and pro-collective shocks to the national balls for no good reason.

To me, this is like the annoying dog next door when after hours it finally stops barking. I hope it's permanent, because all the noise is pointless and, irritating.

I've always said maybe if we quit votjng they'll all go away, but this would be good with me too.

Does this mean our taxes are pro rated?

If a wealthy person has to give one cent to a position it doesn't support, the Republicans will be there to push to prevent it. If a poor person gets work benefits that makes sure he can feel safe at his job, the Republican will be there to take those benefits away to remain "competitive" with the 'race to the bottom' on wages, work safety, and health benefits. Being "right wing" doesn't mean doing the right thing, or even the conservative thing anymore, all it means is making sure money stays in the hands of one group of people while increasingly denying the other group of people from gaining the ability to change to relevance.

I don't think so, you see I actually have a nasty habit of following facts and acknowledging reality.

Obamacare directly addresses many issues that have prevented me from being treated fairly.

I broke sprained my finger a few weeks back (it's better now, thanks for all your prayers and emails) and the rehab place hooked my hand up to an electric shocking thing. Like an Ab Transform but for your hands instead of abs.

If it were that kind of shock, I think I might be up for it.

Pretty much. I'm "yes" on everything from marriage equality to decriminalizing pot. Honestly, decriminalize drug use in general. I say no to the piplelines and yes to clean energy, but when you get to guns and gov't, I want to be left alone.

To be clear, I don't think it would be practical to drug test SSI/welfare/etc recipients, but I would like less gov't money going to drug dealers.

I think it's scary that the average voter has the attention span of a hamster and by election time will have either forgotten all about this debacle or been persuaded to place the blame on someone other than the responsible parties.

Look at Florida, they require Welfare to take drug tests.  They've barely found anyone on welfare actually failing drug tests.  Waste of Money.

And just as he finishes raising the debt ceiling by himself, the impeachment proceedings start... just as pointless as the ones against Clinton, but hey you want to keep traditions going.
