Aaaaand ... it failed!

2013-09-30 07:30:23 PM
They certainly are.

2013-09-30 07:32:35 PM
Too late! They lost.

If you start calling Steve King (NY) a moderate you have really lost your shiat

Torgo_of_Manos: If you start calling Steve King (NY) a moderate you have really lost your shiat

Peter King, not Steve King,  is the guy from NY. Neither one is really a moderate, but only one of them has the derp turned up to 11.

I stand corrected.
Thanks.

They both hit 11 a lot. Both of them are revolting and I hope they both end up having to panhandle every day to get enough money to feed themselves after they experience a rapid fall into the gutters of society.

They're both pretty bad. Peter King is the one who's constantly slamming Muslims and seeing Islamic conspiracies everywhere.

So yeah, Peter King, moderate, not so much either.

2013-09-30 08:38:12 PM
You can say that again.

Came to say this, leaving satisfied (yet still disappointed).

I had to turn the cable news off. That much stupidity is difficult to take.

JasonOfOrillia: You can say that again.

The moderate Republicans are revolting.

At least they're giving Stewart and Colbert plenty of material.

"We have people in the conference, I believe, who'd be just as happy to have the government shutdown," King said. "They live in these narrow echochambers. They listen to themselves and their tea party friends. That keeps them going, forgetting that the rest of the country thinks we're crazy."

2013-09-30 08:42:49 PM
And the revolt was doa.

Two "GOP moderates" voted for it.  Four crazies did because the CR + poison pill wasn't cyanidey enough.

Revolting?

xpanda1969x.files.wordpress.com
MAYBE THE ACA WILL COVER THAT!

I don't think they're that ugly.

Can anyone find a list of the 17? I want to email them and thank them for finally showing some bipartisanship.

...and blast mine if he wasn't one of the 17. Which I'm guessing he wasn't.

2013-09-30 08:47:22 PM
Yes, these men have no dicks.

2013-09-30 08:47:32 PM
There are GOP *moderates*?

Apparently ... no.

That's your problem with there

Just the beginning. The repub leadership wants to shut shiat down so they can lay it on the tea party extremist. Then they can shift the blame to them and primary them out, getting control of the party back.

Yeah, the problem is their golem doesn't already have enough power.

If they can just feed it a little more, they'll totally be able to dismantle it later.

what the frak?

Six Republicans voted against the rule with Democrats: Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN), Rep. Paul Broun (GA), Rep. Charlie Dent, Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX), Rep. Pete King (NY), Rep. Steve King (IA). After an hour of debate, the House will vote on the bill, roughly 8:15 p.m. ET.

Ted Cruz is unable to tell a truth.

2013-09-30 08:52:05 PM

Aristocles: On WTOP about an half an hour ago I heard that King was slamming Cruz... how does that make any sense? King is in the House, Cruz is in the Senate.

Cruz made himself a figurehead of the "SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING." faction of the GOP with his pointless 21 hour speech in the Senate that he likes to pretend was a filibuster.

Attacking Cruz is basically attacking nut job Tea Party Republicans in general.

The fact that King is callig someone else a nutjob is just... How the fark did we get to this point?

This is how we turn into something more like the Democratic Party: a disorganized alliance of left-wing groups smart enough to realize we're not a parliamentary system. We might turn into something similar with Tea Party, Evangelicals, and other conservatives.

To say republicans revolting is like saying skunk farts are mildly unpleasant.

Does it seem a tad depraved to get a bottle of champagne for midnight for the potential shutdown?

He's no moderate, either.  He loves to get on his knees and suck the corporate knob.

These lawmakers presumably know that there are literally thousands of bitter old guys out there that fall asleep with their rifles listening to Hannity and that believe that Obama is a hair-breadth away from unilaterally declaring Sharia law. They believe that Obamacare's full implementation will be tantamount to raising the hammer and sickle over the Capitol dome. They're slowly losing touch with reality, their kids don't call anymore, but they still watch the 10 o'clock news and they're gonna know when the next Congress on Your Corner event is going on.

F+uck the Republicans. Every single one of them. None of them have even tried to stop the crazy train as it spotted toward the cliff.

That is all.

He's batshiat insane and also happens to be a terrorist sympathizer. His insanity is overshadowed by his bigotry, but it is definitely there.

Funny how all you libtards are afraid of revolution.

2013-09-30 08:59:52 PM
It's been tossed to the Senate where Dick Durbin is already on the floor telling them that it's not going anywhere and they'll get it back again jumpin' jack flash.

Nothing is happening for at least an hour.  Sounds like time to kill prey and eat.  I'M COMING FOR YOU, DORITOS!
