...a diamond-covered Rolex watch valued at $20,000 from Vincent Lamar "Cash Out" Robinson

I tried really hard to have sympathy, and then this happened.

Dammit!

Uhm....they'll work really hard to find that $20,000 that was stolen.  They'll be sure to get all $10,000 in lockup and the $5,000 will be returned to the proper owners.

This happened at the Atlanta Buckhead Waffle House, the last stop after a night out at the clubs, this is not surprising nor is it your typical interstate exit Waffle House Clientele.

Yes and no.  Like all Waffle House clientele, they make bad decisions like eating at WH.  Like all nighttime WH clientele, they were likely drunk.

Unlike most WH clientele, however, their bad decisions included going to WH all blinged out.  Back in my WH-frequenting days, any robber would have gotten "my last few bucks in cash that were going to pay for an omelet and smothered hash browns with a coke."

With any luck he would have gotten it between sometime after your food had been delivered but before it was paid for.

Knowing me, I would have probably been the guy reaching up from my under-table crouch to sneak bites of my food.  If not I DEFINITELY would have finished eating it after the robbers fled.  My stomach waits for no situational appropriateness.  Visiting dying grandma at the hospital at 6pm?  "Man... where's the cafeteria?"

I would keep eating. I mean trust me if I am desperate enough to be in a waffle house then I am hungry enough to be unconcern about you having a gun in my face.

I'm guessing the majority of the take was in Iphone cases, government assistance checks, and grillz.

It's common in developed societies to understand how insurance claims work, and significantly overstate the value of your possessions shortly after a robbery.

Vincent Lamar "Cash Out" Robinson, is not a rapper. so i have to assume he has another less than legal profession.

Metro Atlanta Waffle House?  $40,000 worth of jewelry, but the people were only worth about five bucks each.

They stolen stuff that was likely already stolen.

Oh yeah.  It compares to other developing nations, like Beverly Hills or the French Riviera.

Now, how can John Fitzgerald Page tell how much time he has left to get to the gym?

//Funny enough, I think he is based out of Atlanta.. :)

Weird that the story named the victims, but didn't identify them. Ca$h Out is a rapper, although this appears to be a different guy than the Atlanta rapper of the same nickname. Usually if the victim isn't famous, they don't name them.

You're right, it could be a bunch of caucasians with their baubels and diamonds that got robbed.

If you're the cop taking the victims statements I don't know how you don't start laughing when the guy who just got robbed tells you his name is "Cash out".

I guess only poor people eat breakfast. Or eat greasy diner food after drinking all night.

I have to feel sorry for poor Derrick Johnson.  All he had to lose was an iPhone.  No bling.  He must be the charity case in the group.

It's really not that hard to add up to $40k worth of jewelry. That's 80 people with $500 wedding bands.

Wafllehouses max out at 8 people. Tiny places.

They should actually call them Waffle hut's...  Not a house worth of square footage.

I'm surprised that someone with $20000 watch in Buckhead had time to sit at the wafflehouse, considering they likely only had 26 minutes to get to the gym.

I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest, just SUGGEST, that the victims in question do not carry a jewelry rider on their homeowner's policy.

Normally there isn't $40,000 worth of cars in the parking lot of a Waffle House.

You'll hand over your diamond-encrusted rims if you don't want to be rimshot.
