RumsfeldsReplacement: There is no excuse for Calgary not to be at the bottom.
RumsfeldsReplacement: New Jersey is too high.
sno man: RumsfeldsReplacement: There is no excuse for Calgary not to be at the bottom.Florida is why.
Polish Hussar: RumsfeldsReplacement: There is no excuse for Calgary not to be at the bottom.I don't know, I consider the Florida Panthers to be a pretty good excuse
Wingnutwillie: Edmonton is gonna shock the world.
Polish Hussar: Pre-season power rankings are meaningless. What matters is that hockey is back tomorrow! And what better way to start than with a little Stompin' Tom Connors
RumsfeldsReplacement: I dunno, I don't see Florida being a total train wreck this year, especially with Tim Thomas.I mean, Calgary might win fewer than 20 games this year. They are going to be atrocious.
Beer cap: sno man: Not sure about Detroit at 7, they barely got in the playoffs last year and only got older(!)Vancouver (Torts is gonna get the Sedins toplay all 200 ft?), Philly and Washington that neither did a whole lot of not much over Toronto that got in the playoffs last year, and has actually gotten better in every position.....BahahahahaPittsburgh over Boston?!? Yea Boston shed a few guys, but they picked up a few too. The line with Bergeron between Iginla and Lucic looked pretty awesome the one pre season game I caught bits of... Look for a major rebound year for Iggy.Detroit dealt with some key injuries last season. They have everybody back, with the exception of Brunner, and added Weiss and Alfredsson. They'll be a much better team, most likely top 3 in the east.
b-maz: Going to be a fun year for hockey, that's for sure.
ds_4815: Polish Hussar: Pre-season power rankings are meaningless. What matters is that hockey is back tomorrow! And what better way to start than with a little Stompin' Tom ConnorsGreat montage (aired the week of his death, I believe), but this one from the playoff opener this year is gonna be tough to beat.HNIC Baba O'Riley
Shrugging Atlas: Blocked at work?!
MugzyBrown: I just realized the Flyers are in the "metropolitan" division.Who are the ad-wizards who came up with that one?
ontariolightning: 4 teams in the top 10 are in the Atkantic division.. so that's clearly going to be the toughest one.
LemSkroob: Philadelphia Flyers Key Injuries: None.Except for Chris "LTIR" Pronger
LemSkroob: MugzyBrown: I just realized the Flyers are in the "metropolitan" division.Who are the ad-wizards who came up with that one?The annoying part isn't that they changed the division name... but they took that name and gave it to another division, with teams that have nothing to do with the division name.
MugzyBrown: LemSkroob: Philadelphia Flyers Key Injuries: None.Except for Chris "LTIR" ProngerI'm not buying into the Flyers at all this year. They may make the playoffs, but if they do that's about it.
CipollinaFan: Nats missed the playoffs. The Skins suck. The Wizards are irrelevant because the Heat will win the East anyway.LETS GO CAPS
dustygrimp: O/U on the number of times Sidney Crosby whines to the refs instead of manning up and playing harder: 246. O/U on the number of times anyone on ESPN calls him on it: 1/2./ Taking the over and the under.
DanZero: Whar graph whar?
RumsfeldsReplacement: Phoenix is WAY too low.
soopey: I agree with the other farker. Go back to Adams, Smythe, Norris, and Patrick divisions.Or come up with new ones. I nominate Gretzky, Orr, Cherry, and Plante.
