Mr. Coffee Nerves: Is it time for another "Fleetwood Mac was the greatest blues band ever until they ruined it by going commercial" vs. "They were an overrated jam band until the cocaine hit Stevie's anus and sparked TRUE genius" debate already?

I've never investigated the pre-pop Fleetwood Mac, but by all accounts they were pretty good. Commerical Fleetwood Mac was a perfect storm of competent musicianship, artistic psychosexual tensions, drug use, pop hooks, and the apex of late 70s analog studio production.

I object, as I have always voiced my belief that Florence and the Machine could be good at paying tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Only, I don't mean that as a compliment.
