He then ate breakfast without a chair, what with being able to use his own balls as an exercise ball and all..

Underwhelmed. It was a humungeous vertical gap about 1000ft long. Pretty hard to screw it up.

That man has balls, I'm telling you. I would never do that. He has complete confidence in his equipment and his abilities. I'm convinced every time I see him fly he's going to go splat.

/hat tip.

Is this the same guy that clipped a ridge and degloved his upper legs?

Attention whore. No, really.

The Slush: Is this the same guy that clipped a ridge and degloved his upper legs?

Correct. I'm really surprised he can land a jump after the damage his legs took.

If he got all this welcoming comitee at the bottom, i think the difficult part was convincing authorities to even allow him...

The jumper directly behind Dwain that day? Jeb Corliss.

And for everyone else- Jeb Corliss, when not decking on Table Mountain, is pretty damn good. However, he will NEVER top Alexander Polli:

He didn't have a choice. It was the only way he could unlock the parachute at Ammu-Nation.

(shrug) back around 2001 I got hit by a truck going 45 mph and it left no less than four of my bones exposed to the light of day, and what wasn't broken was dislocated or lacerated.

And today I'm racing motorcycles and playing roller derby...  It's amazing what the human body can bounce (hah) back from given enough willpower.

I understand that, and glad your doing good. In his accident, he tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)  which is important for knee stability. Unlike bones ligaments don't really bounce back that well. You still hit the ground pretty hard on a parachute jump and its pretty hard on the knees. Actually, i went back to the link and watched the second video about his prep for the jump and he uses graphite knee braces now, which makes sense.

Interestingly, Corliss was the second jumper on that video, and got sprayed with Dwain's blood as he passed under the bridge.

Yea tell that to my knee. :(

csb... I was running on the track for PT and rolled my ankle in a shallow pothole. I knew it farked up my knee, excruciating pain but I could still put some weight on it. I went to the hospital and the doc listened to me, he told me to just go to the shopette and buy some ibuprofen. Since I didn't have a Dr. note I was forced to continue doing PT. Ouch Ouch Ouch as I half jogged, half limped around the track.

1 years after the incident I claimed it on VA disability a doc poked and bent my knee in various directions and said it was bad due to running. He wrote it off as a non issue

3 years after the incident when I finally got a C&P eval a different doc could clearly see something abnormal with my right knee when I walked and how I had very weak stability on that leg. She ordered xrays and it turns out I have a misaligned knee cap, grinding on the grooves and degenerative wear from the incident.

I'm currently on year 4, I would love to run again (hell, I'd take even being semi-active). First day is general discomfort, second day it starts to swell and the pain begins, third day I can't put much weight on it.

His balls aren't as heavy as you'd think. Watch the link I posted above.
