If there was any further convincing I needed back then that Breaking Bad was the best show on television, it was this opening.

Heh, was this the song playing in the background in the Taqueria  when Hank, Maria, Skylar and Walt were trying to have a meeting?

Upon further review, I don't think it is.

Yes, yes it does.

And yeah, that *was* BB's Best. Opener. Evah.

Second place going to the "Windy" montage opener.

You're going to have to go dark and basically not talk to anyone, use the internet, or watch TV until you see it.

Given how the lead-up to the finale has been going, the world is going to be screaming about what went down.

In a segment on the finale this morning on The Today Show they had a huge spoiler. They spoiled it for anchor Lester Holt who was only partway through season 5 & was going to watch the rest this afternoon.

That is absolutely the worse ranchera I have ever heard, and I have heard some bad ones.

I am gonna have to listen to Vicente Fernandez to clear my ears out.

I would have have to go around killing people on the fronteras if that was the music I had to listen to all day.

Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Once again, my stupid prediction:

Walt dies.  The last shot of the series will be some form of Walt lying on the ground dead, and all alone.

The real tough question is who else dies on the way there.  I say Todd has to die by Jesse's hand, perhaps while cooking in the lab.  The rest of the Nazis may or may not end up dead.  Breaking Bad is one show that may let a few bad guys "win".  I say two of the group (Skyler, Marie, Flynn, Holly) die, probably Skyler and Flynn, leaving Marie to raise Holly.  I also still think it's possible that Walt goes after The Grey Matter founders with the ricin, and possibly shooting up their HQ with the M60.  Saul survives and may not even appear tonight, unless they cut away to a Cinnabon in the middle of the country.

NeoCortex42: I say Todd has to die by Jesse's hand, perhaps while cooking in the lab.

Todd's arguably one of the few people who doesn't deserve to die. He fundamentally does not know right from wrong. His brain isn't wired to process things like that. He's like a little kid with a gun who does what he's told. Granted in our justice system, he would be locked up for the rest of his life or executed, but he's not really at fault for being born without the capacity for empathy.

A perfect out for Jesse into witness protection, maybe?

My wild guesses:

Skyler kills herself
Lydia goes to jail
Walt kills Todd and Jack in an attempt to get his money back, but is mortally wounded in the process. And it was a futile effort because his family doesn't want it anyway.

Jesse gets out alive but with emotional scars.

Marie takes in Flynn and inducts him into the cult of purple.

Let's see how wrong I am!

What if nobody dies? They've got us expecting a big, dramatic final conclusion, but the one thing we know about Breaking Bad is how unpredictable it is. They've got the fans wanting, expecting blood, what if the whole thing just fizzles out somehow? Everybody just goes on with their lives and picking up the pieces, but Walt's not in it.

I get home from work too late to watch the first showing.  Luckily, there are the "encore" presentations.  Except tonight's encore isn't until 1215am EDT so that they can run a whole hour of "Low Winter Sun."  Low Winter Sun can suck a fart out of my butt.

I want to see Saul, hair lankly falling in his face, his gaze haunted and beaten as he surveys that Nebraskan food court full of teens talking about their 4-H projects, while an employee pokes him in the ribs going "Sir...sir...sir...JImmy let the buns overrise again. I totally think he's on the marijuanas."

I think it's plausible that Walter could get off scott free for all of this.
The evidence is gone, the money, the meth, Hank and Gomie.

Jesse is alive but who knows for how long.
He returned the baby to Skyler, who can't be compelled to testify against him and might not anyway.

But Heisenberg won't allow himself to be humiliated and so he'll (once again) come blasting back in a big way, even bigger and badder and worse than before.

Walt could have stopped at any of several points along the way but he didn't, couldn't.

But does anyone have any hard evidence against him now?

Enter: M-60 machine gun.

Right. I just remembered that. He said she would never see Hank again and that anyone who crossed him would end up like he did. But that's a pretty circumstantial case, it seems. Maybe not?
It's out in the national media that he's a wanted man, too, so the whole story got out somehow.

Sometimes Aryan prison gang members in prison refer to themselves as "Peckerwoods." Or "Woods" for short.
