poot_rootbeer: Arcade Fire's pretentiousness level is getting out of hand.

'Manual Blondiks' was the best sketh of the night, which is too bad because it's formulaic 12:45 filler material.

All the new featured players are kind of odd looking.

this.

i don't get the af pretentiousness bit, though...they're a modern rock band, so they are no more nor no less pretentious than any other modern rock band. i am not really a fan, but i enjoy them on snl. i liked them best performing on the season finale 2 years ago i guess it was, when that wiig chick left, and they did a cover of "she's a rainbow". the extra 30-minute special saturday night was oddly entertaining.

as for the odd-looking cast members...yes, every single one of the new cast members is odd looking! glad to see they had fair screen time, though...the used car bit was fun..."we have all kinds...model t..."

manalow blankets. almost as funny as monica and chandler champagne

Uzzah: Lipspinach: There hasn't been a good band to come out of Canada since The Battered Wives The Pursuit of Happiness.

This is only true because The Tragically Hip are older than TPOH.

/They've been a long, long time running.

I don't remember any other rock band in recent memory where one of the singers climbs inside a Multi-Dimensional Crystal Of Intrigue for the middle part of a song.
