People will just say they liked the interview with Joel better.

God bless you, Mr. Nelson.  Anyone who can create that much laughter is a good man.

Pre-emptive cockpunch for anybody who tries to start a stupid, pointless Joel vs Mike debate.

/both were great

CSB:
Local Drafthouse Cinema had Joel a few months back for "Riffing Myself," his live commentary on his life story and how it evolved into MST3K.

Afterwards they did a live riffing on Thunderball.

This interview had absolutely nothing in it.

I'm old enough to remember renting "Mystery Science 3K" collections at the video store.  Only way to see them, back in the day.  When we had to wear the yellow onions on our belts, because we couldn't afford the white ones...

/Lawn?  Git...

They should interview Drew.

I miss MST3K on Saturday mornings. :(

He is terrifically unfunny.

Did he show his old ventriloquist doll catalog? That had some really creepy shiat in it. The duck doll actually did show up in a nightmare of mine last week.

Yeah, he spoke for a good two hours, iirc.  Showed the influences, catalogues he used, old footage, every doll he made/used, etc etc, clips of him in high school/college, his original promotional flyers and business cards, etc, the hole nine yards.

Was very interesting and funny.

You mean way back in the late 90's? I don't go back to KTMA as I've never lived in Minnesota, but I was onboard for Comedy Central. And then there was the circulating of the tapes...

Child, I snuck up late at night to watch them on television.

I started watching MST3K with Mike and I have generally liked him over Joel, mainly because I thought his friendly/adversarial relationship to the 'bots was much more entertaining than Joel's parental/nurturing style.

With that said, Nelson's Facebook and Twitter feed have been a train wreck to beat the band.  Not sure if he's trying to get in on what Norm MacDonald cornered, but it's just really terrible.  I'm wholly baffled as to whether he's out of touch with social media or he was better and being funny in the context of MST3K and RiffTrax or if it's some sort of weird act he's trying to pull off.  But it's absolutely dreadful and painful to see.

I'm sad to hear that. I love Nelson AND Norm MacDonald...
