I'd love to meet this guy.

fta "I'm still open to meeting someone," he said, his eyes twinkling as he prepared to order coffee and dessert. "I still have the desire. That's what counts."

Cool. Enjoy, old dude.

Sounds like a man with very little stress in his life.  It's been my experience that people who don't allow themselves to get stressed or annoyed live the longest.

Probably has more to do with the lifestyle of privilege that had allowed to eat at upscale restaurants every night than the meals served at those restaurants.

"I haven't eaten dinner home in many years," said Mr. Rosen, who tried singles groups and other activities after his wife of 70 years, Lillian, died five years ago, when she was 95.

That is the greatest/saddest thing I've read in quite a while.

This is as relevant as you make it, but in the UK, Jews are 3 times more likely to live to be 100 than anyone else.

/The US can't keep stats like this because we can't ask people's religion on the census.

I haven't eaten dinner home in many years also, if you get my drift and I think you do.

If he walks to the restaurants... That probably also has something to do with it!

So, finally we have a man older and wiser who can once-and-for-all settle all tipping arguments?

He always orders fish. That alone is good for 5 to 10 years more life.

When it's a privilege you've built for yourself ... good.

"Call it payback for the meager meals he ate growing up in Russia, where as a boy, he recalled, he marched with protesters during the Russian Revolution. He and his family fled the pogroms, came through Ellis Island and moved into a railroad apartment on Pitt Street on the Lower East Side. By the time he was 11, young Harry's meals improved to pickled herring sold from barrels on the street, and he worked as a delivery boy for pennies before taking a job at an office supply company."

Yeah.  Russian Revolution and supply delivery boy.  I'm surprised he didn't choke on that silver spoon.

I wonder if he did anything sexual with that 90-year-old.  Because I'm a pervert.

Mr. Rosen is 103 but he doesn't look a day over 90.

Is there a marked change in appearance comparing 100-year-olds and 90-year-olds?

Does he get taller on warm days and it evens out the wrinkles?
