(Independent)   "Peep Show," will come to an end next year at the conclusion of season nine. For those of you who have never watched "Peep Show," it's like the "Breaking Bad" of British comedies. All episodes are on HULU for free, so get caught up   (independent.co.uk) divider line 17

They've been saying it's the end for the last few seasons. I love the show, but don't want it to get tired like others.

I love David Mitchell on QI, and Robert Webb is funny too. I watched a few episodes on Netflix, and though i liked it, I found it difficult to deal with the camera POV shots and stopped watching. I guess I'll power through eventually.

It's a very funny show but the last couple of seasons (or series, if you will) have been feeling kind of tired.

It's been on a downward slope since season 4. I really don't get the BB comparison (beyond the fact they're both ending).

I liked the first season, and think it remains as a crushingly funny portrait of broken masculinity, but after that, I felt like the creative team ran out of things to say and just made it about how despicable Mark and Jez could be.

The first season they kind of use shaky cam along with the POV stuff, by season two the shaky cam stops and it is more fluid, so I think it will get easier to handle

Hmm, thanks for the tip  Subby, gonna go and check it out now (been jonesin' for something to watch since I ran out of  Justifiedepisodes to uh, watch... damn Timothy Olyphant is sexy).

I'm not saying Peep Show is bad, but That Mitchell & Webb Look is a lot funnier, if you ask me.

Also, I'd rather not watch something than put up with the Hulu web design. Netflix's interface issues I can live with, but even free Hulu is not worth my time.

Describing something as the Breaking Bad of British comedies makes me want to avoid it even more.

they milked it to a husk.

I enjoyed the first season (UK) but I never could find the rest of them. They've never showed up on the brick and mortar store shelves or even Region 1 websites or second hand stores. Now there's enough seasons to scare me off unless they come out with a cheap box set some day. (They haven't done an US version have they?)

There's a tonne of good shows I should have watched but simply never started. Now I am over-whelmed with stuff I own and still haven't gotten around to watching. Peep Show might be one or I might catch up some day.

We don't usually have to wait in Canada for the US audience to catch on to British sitcoms. They get to us a year or two earlier. What's up with Peep Show, then?

Vat vent vrong?

I thought Jeremy was going to turn out to be gay after his suicide attempt. Ad he's been straight for another eight seasons? Boy, world's second worst TV closet case.

I was really hoping for a tenth season.  I disagree that the show has gotten stale I think it is the most consistent and funniest sitcom ever made.  I think it compares to BB in the sense of its solid continuity and inventiveness.  But you know some people think Louis CK is funny and think Bill Hicks is not. ymmv

Aw, right! This is it! Is it? This is the end of the Hair Blair Bunch?!?

I think Peep Show really speaks to a generation of men in their late 20s to mid 30s. I found so many aspects of the characters in myself and in many of my friends. The similarities made one shudder. If there was going to be a definitive TV shows of the 00s in the way that Friends was the definitive TV show of the 90s, then Peep Show is it.
