Stood over him and shot him a second time. No prior criminal record.

Sounds very personal.

Another article says they were both the same age, so we can at least rule out the perp was molested by the pastor.

And here's what HuffPo thinks a shotgun looks like:

Another responsible gun owner.

2013-09-28 09:24:56 PM
My best guess is the pastor f**ked the shooter's wife or daughter. If this was a Catholic church, it might involve the violation of  his son.

If only there was a law stating that someone planning to commit a crime with a gun first remove themself from the "law abiding citizen" list.  They could then be put under government surveillance and hopefully arrested before actually commiting the crime.

Myers added that Karey, who has no criminal background, fled the scene but later called police to turn himself in.

Well, clearly the answer is to ban shotguns.

And that's how you kill someone.

You don't fire erratically. You don't endanger other people, the cops, or yourself. You double-tap them, leave the vicinity, and then peacefully turn yourself in to the cops. You calmly accept the consequences of your actions, because you believe that it was worth life in prison to ensure that that particular son of a biatch is dead.

I'm not condoning murder - what he did was reprehensible, and he will pay for his crime - but I find it more tolerable than the assholes that spray half a city block with lead over some perceived gang insult, or who decide that they want to go out in a blaze of glory and get nine other innocent folks shot by clueless cops, or who can't accept what they did and further traumatize onlookers by blowing their own fool heads off.

Look, I can't speak without swearing, and I've only got my Grade 10, and I haven't had a cigarette since I've been arrested, and I'm ready to farkin' snap. So I'd like to make a request under the people's freedom of choices and voices act that I be able to smoke and swear in your courtroom. Because if I can't smoke and swear, I'm farked! And so are all these guys. I won't be able to properly express myself at a court level, and that's bullshiat! It's not fair and if you ask me, I think it's a farkin' mistrial.

I'm just trying to cut through the self delusion gun nuts have about all gun owners being noble, responsible people. A lot of unstable people are perfectly able to purchase guns, and you're unwilling to do a damned thing to address that. You'd rather just shove your head in the sand and pretend that there's no problem with guns in America.
