12 hour night shift caring for a baby without a break?

What is she required to do while the kid is sleeping? Most moms go for weeks without a "break".

So the kid was never, ever alone, even for a minute?

Should grow up healthy and well adjusted...

I saw Alanis at Tipitinas in the early 90s,  she jumped into the audience and gave me a bug hug.

I love women, when they hug me I usually inhale deeply, Alanis smelled like three days of unwashed ass.

i was on the nanny's side until I saw she tacked on 100k for "emotional distress."

Man up, nancy girl.

FTFA: According to her lawsuit, Cambeiro was only allowed a break if Morissette, Treadway or the couple's daytime nanny entered the room.

Did they not let her leave to go to the bathroom? Because twelve hours without a pee break, yeah I can see that being a problem. Especially with all the coffee I'd have to drink to stay awake all night and watch someone else's baby breathe.

I remember years ago I was a sound tech for one of her shows, at one point she just kind of fell into the audience without warning and came back a few moments later.  After the show she explained she had to break wind and didn't want to risk the mic picking it up.

moms moms aren't employed to take care of someone Else's kid. If you are required to be at a particular place for how ever long you get paid for it. Period.

I'm curious what you think doctors involved in hours-long surgeries, security guards, or factory workers do when nature calls.

Hint: they make preparations for when they know they can't make a pit stop. Downing that Big Slam before your shift isn't one.

If Alanis Morissette plops her fat ass down on your toilet, you better get the plunger ready. She BEEFS. She'll drop 5 or 6 forearm-sized logs in there with no flushes in between. Rumor has it that on the tour bus during the Jagged Little Pill tour she used to shiat in the shower and heel it down the drain to save time.

I work a 9 hour overnight shift in a group home, caring for mentally/developmentally disabled adults.  While they're asleep, I clean, make sure there's no old food in the house, do a little bit of paperwork, and then still have at least a few hours left with absolutely nothing to do.  Unless one of the clients wakes up during the time when I have nothing to do, I pretty much get a nice long break all to myself.  I do not understand why someone would think they could file a lawsuit for something like this.

Has this woman never heard of the phenomenon known as "quitting"?

Quitting is what is called an "option". For some of us, those who aren't you for example, that option may not exist at the present time due to their societal status or education.
Just because you can quit at the drop of a diaper doesn't mean everyone can.

So what is your response to intolerable working conditions? If your employer told you part of your job description included holding still while he beat you with a phone book would you just sit there and take it for two years and then sue?

Looking at the gals name, it appears to be she was from another country, and she is Brazil, maybe ol lanis tried to mess with her because of her visa, or that she is hot.

The way to get better working conditions is not to just "quit", because that does not change the actual working conditions. The next poor schmuck that comes along after you will have it even worse, because the asshole employer will have learned nothing. The way to change the working conditions is to stay and fight. If part of that fight is suing the asshole employer out of existence, so be it. This will make other employers think twice about "beating someone with a phone book" if they realize there would be consequences for such actions. This is the idea behind workers organizations, like unions.

People get away with whatever you let them get away with. Pussing out and running only validates their evil, even if you can leave.
