ClavellBCMI: What, no love for Velvet Jones?

No but The Ladies Man sketch with Florence Henderson was a riot.

FloydA: Schweddy Balls, Lazy Sunday, Natalie's Rap, Lord Douchebag, all of the Point/Counterpoint and Celebrity Jeopardy ones, they've really done some great stuff over the years.

Special mention for "Don't Look Back In Anger," which still gets me choked up.

Which one is that?

Not sure I can pick favorites, but some oldies that deserve shout-outs:

Belushi on Weekend Update, discussing the topic, "The Luck of the Irish;"

"Prison Follies" with Peter Cook;

Steve Martin and Bill Murray, "What the Hell is That?"

Jane Curtin ripping open her blouse on Weekend Update in response to criticism that she the segment lacked sex appeal with Chevy Chase gone;

Dueling Brandos.

Prose and Cons was better

Dark and lonely on the summer night.
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Watchdog barking - Do he bite?
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
Slip in his window,
Break his neck!
Then his house
I start to wreck!
Got no reason --
What the heck!
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
C-I-L-L ...
My land - lord ...

Ah, Pete Schwety! Yeah, that might be the one. I could see the main punchline from a mile away but I still lost it when it dropped.

Paul Simon meets Art Garfunkel in a ticket line

the Continental, the cowbell sketch, schweddy balls are all iconic for a reason, and the reason is that they're good

I'm also kinda partial to the Mango sketch with Garth Brooks, but otherwise Mango was kinda meh

Mr. Dragon is adding that the Tom Hanks 5th-episode-hosting sketch, with the VIP lounge, was awesomepants

/also, news for the hard of hearing!

There was one bit where Jane Curtain and Bill Murray (I think) where hanging a curtain using a ladder that had been OK'd by the TV sensors. Well, the lights went out and all you could see were the outlines of the bit along with the suggestive language that really sent the sensors into orbit as they kept coming out and stopping the bit.

Haven't seen it again on YouTube or re-runs. The most hilarious thing I ever saw...
