That's revolting. But OTOH for 79 cents, meh, that's pretty reasonable I suppose.

My only question, would be, with all of the fantastic food choices in Singapore, why would anyone buy such "food" in a 7-11 in the first place?
I can only guess the primary consumers would be Americans looking for a refuge from stuff that "challenges" their dietary norms, but even then most Americans could find 50 places better to get their mashed potato fix in Singapore for about the same 1$ Singaporean. I mean KFC is in Singapore and I am sure that their quality for mashed potatoes is still better than this mashed/pureed potato machine delivers.

Come on drunk as shiat at 3 am you bet your ass I'd think that was a good idea. I'd get some taquitos or whatever is on rollers and start dipping.

Is it flavored with Maggi? If so, forget it; that sauce is  nasty.

About 20 years ago, my college dorm in Pennsylvania had a vending machine that would dispense french fries.  It has lots of clear plastic windows that let you watch the potato ride up an elevator, get pushed through the slicing grater, fall into the oil and bubble away for six minutes (countdown timer from hell), drain the oil and let it sit for another three minutes, then tumble into a cup at the bottom.

Scorching hot, but only something like 75¢.  The vending machine company managed to attach a plastic salt shaker to the machine on a little chain.
